Hallucinatory fish poisoning

It describes certain fish that produce a pschedelic state when certain parts are eaten. I was wondering if any had more detailed information as what the active compounds are or if any one has tried it.

 

I know in my area there is a certain type of mullet that is reported to cause hallucinations. Haven't experienced it firsthand thought.

These guys, when they are running Ill catch them by the scores, though not everyone has the stuff. I read somewhere it is a certain type of trippy algae they eat that makes them hallucinogenic.
