Do you head on down to main circle? Hit up the trade circle? go help a kitchen? Find a spot and partake in some herby goodness? Try to find friends at the info center name board? ect ect....

drum!!! hike. swim. make sweet love at random.cook. climb trees. i always like learning new woods skills from chillin heads. like building stone ovens, etc. try not to trip more than twice during my stay. trading is always fun. i like trading for cool rainbow artifacts you can't get anywhere else. hug patrol. helping kids start there fire. helping kids navigate trails. after i figure them out anyway.and lots of screaming "weeeeelooooveyouuuuuuu!"

for us, once the stuff is packed in, we spend the next several days building the kitchen & once that's done, most of our energy goes into running the kitchen (course JuJu always makes some time for guitar playing) we take one day off per Gathering to wander, either the 3rd or the 5th of July and we have one night off...our anniversary!

It's A Beautiful Day Cafe @ Popcorn Palace

Haven't been able to make it Home since MT'00; & it's not looking like we'll be able to make it this year either, but a few of our tie-dyes will be there. we're doing a banner for Java Lounge in the next week; some of you folks will have to stop by & see it.

Not even sure if we'll do the kitchen anymore; we were told that we're supposed to go into retirement ;)

but who knows, maybe we'll go back to the original Cafe idea, where the Cafe closed mid-afternoon

In any case, we're planning a big party & remarriage for June 26, 2009; it'll be our 20th anniversary. Ain't nothin' short of Armagedon will stop us from making it Home for that!

Oh & for the sis who will be coming Home for the first time this year (and anyone else new to Rainbow); please make time to stop in and help at a couple of kitchens...clean handed veggie choppers are usually appreciated in all kitchens, as are dish washers, water carriers, shitter diggers, & wood gatherers

ha ha ha... ya the last gathering I went to was Idaho 2001, I had been awake for 24 hours by the time I arrived there. I then packed all my stuff about 2 miles in (heavy heavy heavy darn canned foods and water) then put up my tent and crashed i was up for 27 hours by the time I went to bed with no mind altering substances.... I awoke around 4am and went to the big drum circle at main circle poked some smot and all was good....

As long as there is daylight left, I scout around for a good place to camp with a bit of isolation, and set to tidying my spot up. After my tent is up, and I feel my stuff is properly and securely stowed I just set to wandering.

Usually, I collapse in exhaustion for a while (from both, carrying in my own gear & drum AND helping out mud-stuck hippies in the parking lot!) and hope that whomever I camp near will walk on my back and realign that there spinal column!

i dont drive, so i usualy stay awake clear across the country to make sure the drivers are ok & stayimg alert & usualy when i get there everyone i travel with wants to set up a temp camp uptop & sleep then hike in the next day..but i'm always energized when i get there & hike down & setup camp (almost always in the dark) then i usualy sleep if its a west coast gathering..or spend about 12 hours wandering & running into family & tryin to figure out 3where everything is

actualy i guess the very 1st thing i do is hug a few dozen folks
