well i am going on a trip out of town with my orchersta. We go perform a concert, than afterwards we hit the mall. After that we go to a hotel where i plan to do my first acid trip. there will be experienced people there. does it seem like a decent plan? what could i do to "furthor" my acid experience? and some girl i talked to(stoner chick) said you could die the first time, not sure if i believed her, but i jsut wanted reasurance, can u die the first time from the acid going through your system? also, does it stay in your system like pot? how long?
This sounds like a (cue drums and Darth Vader horns) VERY BAD IDEA. You don't know the first thing about acid, you're going to be in an unfamiliar and heavily artificial and uncomfortably limited environment where you're not going to be able to make much noise above a whisper, you're going to have to be functional the next day... the list goes on and on. Shit, EVERY bad experience I've ever had with acid (and other drugs) was the fault of my bad judgement in taking it in the wrong situation. Stoner chick was right to try to scare you off doing it. Listen: Acid is one powerful motherfucking tool. It can take everything you think you know and turn it inside out. And if that sounds like a fun ride, man, it ain't. Necessarily so. It can also be a joyous, liberating, ecstatic experience. Either way it's life-altering. Not a lot of thinking people come through it unchanged. But you have to have respect for the drug, you have to be humble before it (as before a god) and most of all you have to know what it is and who you are before you decide to take it -- IN THE RIGHT SETTING and WITH THE RIGHT MINDSET. you can't die just from taking LSD... and it should be fine but the people you trip with should be people you know, and are cool with - they can't be assholes and very importantly, they have to like the same kind of music you do - and dont listen to angry/violent/negative music - that's bad. Make sure you have music to listen to - it's half the experience - but otherwise y not...
Any function with authority, like an orchaestra trip, is a bad idea for the basic fact that you will probably have parental figures who for any case should come into contact while your tripping, then you're fucked. You can't play off acid, period.
LOL, this year at my college we had a hardass freshman with no psychedelic experience. Well he could bong five beers so he could handle acid right doood?!?! Six hits later he was ass naked throwing his microwave oven at campus security. Way to give responsible psychedelic users a bad name, and perpetuate the 'one hit of LSD can make you permanently crazy' mentality. oh well, more for me Stiggy
