You cannot name one person (except the hearing impaired)that dosent enjoy music. actually i had a deaf buddy one time who DID like music, cuz he could feel the vibrations, and always wanted me to blast my music cause he could feel the vibrations. Even the most bitter callous unhappy person is subjected to listen to some type of music somewhere in their life. someone might say "i dont listen to music", but they cant say they dont "LIKE" music. but regardless of if you choose to listen to music or not, its everywhere. every single store, every car, every tv broadcast has at least background music, radio obviously, restaurants, random musical people in public, the list goes on. Could you imagine like back in the 1700s before the phonograph was invented? the only way to make music was to play it live. either you could go to a concert, or you could play the music yourself. thats it. there was no radio at work, no aerobics workout tape to keep the beat, no CD book to look through to select some tunes to sit around and get high, no elevator music to mask awkward silences between strangers at the bank or something. that would fucking suck. Im so glad that my life is filled with so much more music than my ancestors.
Its interesting, however,to think that at one time the musicians/minstrels were an early form of hippy traveller - carrying the news from town to town.I bet there were a few spin doctors too who would change the story just to suit their audience. So I guess they weren't stuck for lyrics when there were all those wars and plagues and adultery - much like today except they were young dudes carrying the news.
Cheese wiz doesn't like music very much. I tried to listen to CD's in his car once...and he hated it. No lie. And my dad...my dad never listens to music. I asked him what bands he liked and he said he doesn't like listening to music. He's a weirdo.
maybe cheese wiz just dosent like the distraction while driving. maybe your dad just dosent like LISTENING to music, but like i said, he must encounter it every day, therefor liking some more than others.
mufukkin bump i gotta get ready for work, but when i come home in 11 hours i expetct to see some intelligent discussion about the impact of music on our modern lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree, there is something really special about music. Its impossible to find a person who would dislike every single type of music in the world. theres always a tune for someone...and the way music can make people feel is incredible. its just sounds, but it can effect you so much. even though there can be lousy music out there, the majority of music in our world is wonderful...i spend so much time sitting around and listening to it, i can never get enough
actually i know a woman who hates music. it doesnt matter if its classical, pop, or rock..this lady hates any kind of music. she doesnt even own one cd or radio. she can tolerate it when she leaves the house and whatnot but you will never hear music in her car or home
Actually...my dad never listens to music, whenever I get in his vehicle it's always on AM talk radio.
ok, so the last few of you fukkers proved me wrong. but those people still have tunes for them. hose bitter elderly must have had their music heyday when they were in their 20s or something. cuz ima tell you what. im in my early 20s if I live for fifty more years, i will be 72 years old. that would make me an old muffuka. but, as bitter and old and about to die and if i am 72, yall would hate me, ,but i would listen to and enjoy some music. even if its 50 year old music, when im 72, that would be mike jones and panic at the disco.
so the correct thing is really 99 percent of people love music and that would be true. its very rare that someone doesnt like music but it happens. and yer right, even those old people that "dont like music" prolly liked some kind of music at some time.
the old people are prolly half of that last percent, and the other people that you claim make up the other half of the percentage, (thats 1 in 200 people btw), i just dont get it, i would have to talk to someone who reallydosent like music
