hey.. i looked through a few forums and stuff, and i didnt find anything about straight edge... i decided to try to go straight edge a few days ago and i was wondering if anyone here is also straight edge. im not going to drink, do drugs, have casual sex, add sugar to things, and not drink caffein or take medecin (no asprin or stuff unless i really need it) a lot of people i know go out on weekends and do drugs, and when i found out about straight edge and did some research on it i decided it would be a good thing to dedicate to. any suggestions or things i should know about?
i used to do a lot of those things but now my life is very close to being straight edged- i try to avoid anything un natural from going into my body but sometimes it can be really hard (with the medications and stuff) good luck
I'm trying to do this too, but I'm having trouble with the caffeine part. I like to drink caffeinated coffee in the mornings because I'm a terrible morning person... I don't seem to wake up on my own, without the help of sugar or caffeine. Other than that I've been successful though. I haven't had any alcohol in about 2 or 3 months... No cigarettes in 2 and a half months... I've been vegan for over a year, and I don't do drugs. I never take painkillers or any sort of over the counter medicine, but I do need my perscription allergy medicine to LIVE in the summertime... unless I want to go to the ER every week like I did when I refused to take it. LOL I suggest, if you have any sort of aches or pains, since you want to get rid of the aspirin/painkiller idea.... use heat. Heating pads, that you can either buy at the store, disposable ones, or special microwaveable ones [I prefer those, as I hate using disposable anything] For sugar, [although I'm not sure if that's NECESSARY to cut out, for sXe] you can replace that with Stevia. Add it to non-caffeine coffee, baked goods, etc. Possibly get diet, caffeine free soda if you like soda a lot. Otherwise, I don't have many suggestions because I'm not sure which areas you need more help with. I've never been into drugs, or drinking very MUCH so that's easy for me...but if you're quitting smoking or something throw me a PM.
apples... there are some GOOD organic teas that you can buy whole sale cheap that will wake you up naturally better then caffeine ever could and yes! im glad you mentioned stevia as im a huge fan of that! to any new people to stevia though as their sweetener.. you dont have to use much

stevia? never heard of it... ill look into it. i used to drink a lot of coffee and red bull and stuff, and it hasnt been that hard to quit... other than that everything has been going smoothly. i have asthma so i need medications for that, but other than that i dont need to take many medicines unless im really sick. thanks for the tips and stuff..
I had a list of natural ways to wake you up.. Adding vinegar to things, raisins, wearing sexy underwear, tugging at your ears, and other stuff.. I'll try to find it. I used to be addicted to caffeine but I quit and I must say I feel MUCH better throughout my days. As for the straight edge thing.. Dunno.
