Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Irrigardless of how well I'm doing with my life atm, because I don't have some kind of college degree, I get the whole lecture from the 'rents of "Where Are You Gonna Be In 5 Years?"... You'd think at some point they'd get tired of asking and stop, but anyway....

So, where do you see yourself in 5 years?

 

probably working some 8 to 5 job much like i do now. hopefully making alot more to keep up with inflation. maybe in a serious long term relationship with a kid even. thats if the whole world doesnt go to shit by then.

 

Who's to say the world hasn't already gone to shit?

 

Just about 33 years old, married for 12 years, with an *ouch* 11 year old and two 8 year olds. Not sure what else at this point!

 

hippychickmommy is much more optimistic than the rest of us appearantly

 

older but not sure if wiser...probably still traveling & trying to figure out what I'm "supposed" to be doing.

 

I try to be optimistic. I grew up around an enormous amount of negativity, and used to be quite a negative person myself, and it made me unbearably miserable. Not something I wanted out of life. I try to look for the silver lining in every cloud, because more often than not, there is one.

There is always someone else out there who has it worse off than yourself, no matter what the situation may be.

Five years?

Twenty eight years old, married, with a kid...and volunteering at an environmental non-profit.

I will be about to turn 28, my boy about to turn 5, i will have a crappy little apartment in the city, just working to get by

 

Five years from now I see myself posting on the forums. Although I'll have a much bigger house and a nicer computer

 

Still wondering how I made it this long...

 

wow...so much can happen in just one year i cant even imagine five. hopefully i'll be living in santa cruz and if im not then i will still just be floatin around lodi

Regular job, I'll be done school by then
hopefully in a city I like, like portland or or overseas or toronto
contemplating going back to school by then, I imagine
hopefully living with a partner that I love and cherise, and who loves me back

Hopefully in college, feeling very frustrated and thinking, "Geez, was it really worth it to go towards my master's?" Haha.
