On May 6, 2006, (in 8 days!), fraternalists and nonfraternalists alike will come together for JOIN HANDS DAY—to make a difference in their communities through helpful projects that connect youths and adults. JOIN HANDS DAY gives fraternal benefit societies and volunteer organizations the opportunity to reach out to people they don’t know, to connect generations and develop new relationships.
Hi Squawkers, I can't remember if I've ever heard of Join hands day....It sounds like a cool idea.....I really wish that one day in my lifetime there will be Peace on Earth... I'm SICK of the violence and HATEFULL attitudes I see in this country and World... Peace to You
What is JOIN HANDS DAY? JOIN HANDS DAY is a national day of volunteering that brings youths and adults together to improve their own communities. A benefit of the day comes through the friendships that will be made across generations. The new partnerships will be an important first step in bringing more young people into leadership roles in many organizations. For more information, download a copy of our brochure.
