I vaguely remember playing the demo of Deus Ex at my friend's house years ago and remember not thinking much of it at the time. Recently my brother gave me his copy and insisted I play it. I was reluctant at first, I'm used to playing games like Half-life and Quake. The idea of an open-ended fist person role playing game didn't appeal to me. Having just finished playing it now I have to say this is the greatest game I've ever played. The graphics may be dated but the gameplay and storyline is superb. I've never been so engrossed in a game. If you haven't played this game you should. Every game I play now seems to be shallow and lacking.

I feel the same way! I picked it up used and didnt really even expect muvh about it but I remembered reading some good reviews so I played it. Great game! The references to the Illuminati were my favorite being a huge Robert Anton Wilson fan! Great game!
