As a Hispanic, I'm getting a lot of pressure from others (and even teachers) not to show up to classes. I wish my dad wouldn't go -- the management at his job is horribly, openly racist and I feel really bad for him, but I don't see him skipping work, especially because he recently took some time off to help renovate our house. I'm not sure if I'll go or not. Maybe I'll sign in then leave? Does that defeat the purpose?
