Hi can anyone tell me the title of a real Geroge Best film?? 'cause I watched one a few weeks ago (unfortunately now I don't remember the actor and director's names) but I do remember that movie was really crap! Man it was astonishing! The actor didn't look like him at all! totally unexpressive, plus the scenes were most of the times grotesque; finally I coudn't figure out if was watching a pretending to be serious film or just a parody! This movie was realesd I guess in the 1999 or 2000
I don't know anything about George Best films but he was a good friend of mine and I am proud to have known him Good luck in finding a good film. xxx
well if he was a good friend of yours, as you stated, it's odd you don't know anything about films concerning his life-story.. Do you live in England?
It's not odd.. i was a friend not a fan. Yes I live in England in Hampshire near the health farm where he spent his last few years. He used to drink in my local where i was a barmaid/regular boozer! xxx
"I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars - the rest I just squandered." "I used to go missing a lot...Miss Canada, Miss United Kingdom, Miss World..." (On David Beckham) "He cannot kick with his left foot, he cannot head a ball, he cannot tackle and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that he's alright." "If I had been born ugly, you would never have heard of Pele." "In 1969 I gave up women and alcohol. It was the worst 20 minutes of my life." "Pelé called me the greatest footballer in the world. That is the ultimate salute to my life." "I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: "What's an IQ?"" (On the blood transfusion after his liver transplant) "I was in for 10 hours and had 40 pints - beating my previous record by 20 minutes." (On Eric Cantona) "I'd give all the Champagne I've ever drunk to be playing alongside him in a big European match at Old Trafford." "I've stopped drinking, but only while I'm asleep." Not surprising that 100,000 people turned out on the streets of Belfast to say goodbye to him. Gone but not forgotten. Maradonna good Pele better George BEST
