Most everyone that I meet always tell me at least three of the following things.

    1. You and your family should be a reality tv show.

    2. The average conversation lasts about 8 min. (unless they're talking about phone conversations and then they say it lasts about 3 min.)

    3. I like the mints they put on hotel beds.

    4. I'm thinking of dying my hair purple.

Why these four things over and over? It's really been bugging me more so then lately because I happened to meet three people today one right after the other whom I didn't know until the moment they talked to me then and all three of them in the short time they talked to me mentioned that they like the hotel mints, that they were thinking of dying their hair purple and once the conversation stopped they said the thing about 8 min. Is it possible everyone has just been reading the same strange facts or is it a more sinister reason like....Brain Slugs or something?

This turned out to be a pretty useless post. Of course it's Brain Slugs.

that's crazy. that's what you need to hire an existential detective to sort out ;), quite the serious of coincidences.

people who have no more immagination then to talk about the crap on tv, i'd rather be playing trains on the computer then their company.

purple hair is cool, if only because it's something not everyone has done yet.

my guess is you hang out with people who are as boring as they probably are bored. let me guess, you find them in boozoriums right?

this is why i've seldom bothered with such places or things.

makin stuff is fun, seeing places and things you haven't seen is fun. listning to idiots who have pickled whatever immaginations they might otherwise have had is a total crock of putrifying road kill.

This is obviously the universe trying to tell you something, and you are not listening.
First, get someone to tape you and your family for a day and send the tape in to FOX.
Next, you should schedule your entire day around the fact that most conversations last 8 minutes, as you will be very busy when you are a reality tv star.
Next, you should carry those little mints they put on hotel beds around with you evetywhere so you can make people happy.
Last, you should dye your hair purple, because everyone loves purple hair but no one has the guts to do it. and if you dye your hair purple you will be loved.
If you don't listen to what you're being taught, you'll just repeat the lesson over again.

The mints idea is pretty good. I should buy some. That would probably really fuck with people...and would give them something to talk about after the 8 min conversation.

I've dyed my hair purple three times. Each time people ask me if it's natural.

As to tapeing my family. I don't think it would go over well. We really aren't that interesting but half the crap on tv nowadays isn't either so you never know. Here's a sampler:

We spent all day today building a ramp for our dog (even though the nieghbours always fall down the stairs it's not for them it's for the dog.) and now she's absolutely horrified by it and won't use it. She is currently hiding out in the basement under a chair (which is no easy task for her, she is a very large dog) and all the while we had our neighbours over who were drinking and smoking as if the world was about to end. I spent the day giving advice on how not to hit oneself in the face with the hammer(though earlier I dyed some of my hair red. It didn't really work. Oh well), my dad picked out the rustiest of nails for my brother to hammer into the ramp, (he is currently quitting smoking so has decided to re-tile the bathroom). My brother used an axe for awhile to hammer until he almost cut his toe off then had to go to the shed to dig out a hammer, the ladder fell on him and he almost lost an eye to the rake as he got up. (It's all good though we're all up to date on tetnus shots) My mom went to a candle light party where she spent most of the time listening to people argue over if red wine should be refrigerated, chilled or left at room temperature. We ended the day by having hamburgers because a hoarde of children nobody seems to know came to our house to eat. I don't eat ground meat so I had a turkey sandwich (with mayo, day lily leaves, raspberry leaves, violet leaves, and dandy lion leaves and of course salt and pepper. I think the turkey might have gone bad a few days ago). Our other neighbour came over and had some red wine (which was at room temperature) we discussed if the people diagonal behind us are having an affair, and how much Stan(directly behind us) will get for his house when he finally sells and if the people to the other behind diagonal really did kill their dogs and then burn them right beside the house, almost setting their house on fire (we know they almost set the house on fire we saw it, we just don't know about the dogs. No one has seen them for awhile). Presently my mother is freaking out because there are little trees growing in the grass, my brother is freaking out that their are little trees growing in the grass and he just cut it yesterday(we have a push mower now) and my dad is trying to figure out which of the movies have to go back and complaining that the movie store changed it's due back time (from 10pm to 9pm) and of course I am typing this.

So what do you think? Is that good quality tv?

Actually, I think that might be more suited for MTV. But yea, that's great television. There's people getting hurt and being stupid and then the stunning conclusion of failure. I'd watch it.
