New patchwork pants (custom order)

I just finished these babies up. They came out fantastic! They are fully lined and have 5 pockets (1 front, 2 back and 2 inside side pockets). They are a moon theme that a customer ordered!

 

cool. how do you get the patches to line up so well? i imagine you sew em in strips first. they're so even. that's always my problem.

 

I pin everything I sew. It really makes a difference when lining things up! I make sure when I am lining them up that every corner matches. Even if the ends don't I am okay with that. Pin pin pin! I'm telling you it's the only way!

Also, make sure when you cut your squares out that you use the same form for each square. That keeps them the same size and helps when lining them up.

 

Also, I wanted to mention that the stitching around the appliques was done with a solar sensative thread, so it will turn green or blue out in the sun! It's very cool!

Beautiful! I can't get my patches to line up that well. I pin, pin, pin but I have to take the pins out right before I sew over them or I always end up bending them.
I love your doors too, good color choice.
