Lately I've been looking at www.natsherman.com and their luxury cigs look pretty tasty, especially the "black and gold" and the "mint" varieties. They make the claim:

"The Philosophy of Nat Sherman Cigarettes Philosophically, nothing's changed since early in the last century in the way Nat Sherman makes luxury tobacco cigarettes. On any given day, you'll find at least one of our family members on the factory floor, personally inspecting the ingredients and output of a cigarette second to none for purity (only 100% pure and natural tobacco is used) and quality (the finest papers and filters). Visitors often remark how timeless it all seems. The pace of the Nat Sherman factory is, well, not that of a plant where quantity is everything. The care we take in selecting and blending only the finest 100% natural tobacco, and crafting the cigarettes themselves with our signature papers and filters, results in an incomparably superior smoke. Of course, the cost of our cigarettes reflects this perfectionism. But after several decades, Nat Sherman has never lacked for an audience willing to pay more. What perhaps goes along with the sheer pleasure of 'pure cigarettes' is their pride in knowing that their brand of choice has been made the same simple way long before it became so fashionable to do so."

Has anybody had any experience with these cigs or any recommendations for high-quality cigs? I've also looked at Djarum Black but haven't "experienced" it yet.

unless youre a flavour connosoir, they might be better if they have less additives. but they might have more tar because of their 'traditional' method

I tried Djarum Blacks last night and this morning (with coffee), and they're pretty potent and aromatic. I like them, even though I am in no way a habitual smoker. I've been on and off with cigs ever since I first smoked. Next I am looking at trying Marlboro Blend No. 27 because I heard those were pretty good, but I also want to look at Nat Shermans.

Nah I never smoked cigs at all til about a year ago when I was in a money rut (no trees) and all my friends smoked cigs so i would just bum one here and there. I occasionally bum one still but i never buy them. Usually when I am very frustrated to the point of kicking and beating my desk due to the aggrivation associated with supporting IT bullshit, I will try to bum one off this dude.

I actually stopped smoking cloves and cigarettes now. I'm not getting a nicotine buzz anymore, so yeah. No more cloves or cigarettes for me. I'm moving on to maybe morning glory, sinicuichi, passionflower, kratum, wild lettuce, kava, or damiana(sp?). Do you guys know anything about legal herbs, like which is the "best"? I can't smoke marijuana or drink alcohol anymore due to monthly metabolic tests.

I prefer Bali Hai's to Djarum blacks, they're a bit more mellow. I had quit awhile, but stress at work is insane..I smoke much less now though.
I've been smoking American Spirit lights. When I'm in the mood to change up I'll smoke a Bali Hai, or a Sweet Dream.(prefer vanilla)
Just scoped out Nat Sherman..I don't think I'd spend that much on a cigarette while weed still exists.
