The horrible things they teach

A friend of mine (whod never smoked weed) came to me today and told me very excitedly about something he learnt in engineering studies at university

his teacher was teaching them about the use of epoxy resin, a relatively toxic chemical used in making fibreglass in his case, and for many industrial adhesive purposes.

the teacher was telling the students that the only difference between epoxy resin and marijuana was that epoxy resin was legal. he reminisced a story of a time he got high off epoxy, preceding a warning to make sure to use the stuff in a ventilated area to avoid being put off course by the fumes.

not only is it horrible, at least in my oppinion, for a teacher to be likening something along the lines of sniffing glue to smoking weed, not only did he make out to his students that it was a viable way of getting high, but it was clear that this dumbnut had never even smoked weed, to relate two such different experiences.

and now these students, straight edge engineering students, are going to relate marijuana as the illegal form of getting some cheap and dirty headrush! imagine what this sets up as the image of stoners! well i think we are all aware of the indignity we can be given by such people. and i definately recon a few are gonna go ahead and try gettin high off the stuff.

in my opinion anyways lol, AND NO I"M NOT SOME FUCKIN GLUE SNIFFING IDIOT!

i had a hood for my car that i was fixing cause there was a big hole in it, so i got firbeglass resin [which by itself doesnt smell like anything] and a Hardener that u add so that it actually works

needless to see i was workin with this stuff in my room doin a little body work tryin to get it all level, then i stood up and was like "wow...wtf i'm ripped"

it felt very similar in like the feelings u get, not to say i was exactly "high" but how my eyes and body felt it was very similar to weed, so maybe the Prof has somthin

There is some truth to this. I surf and know a little bit about the production of boards.....anyway there is a local shop that uses a hemp based epoxy resin and there are many others worldwide, just one of the many uses of the great cannabis plant. Of course getting high off epoxy fumes is on par with huffing gas not smoking buds.

It just convinces me that the real reason it is illegal is companies like dupont, the paper industry, alcohol & tobacco, and the pharmaceudical companies just to name a few, stand to loose a lot of many if hemp production was OKed, so they lobby(basically bribe) our elected officials to make sure it stays illegal.

No I put in 1989, But the I noticed it was wrong. I just figured I accidently changed it one night when I was all fucked up.
