anyone heard of these guys? they're an australian rock band that just released their debut album in North America yesterday (may 02). i've only heard one song of theirs and i'm pretty impressed. if you like zeppelin, you might like these guys, they involve a lot of mysticalness into their music and image. check out www.wolfmother.com also, they appear on conan obrien on thursday, may 4th. i can't wait to check these guys out.
I L-O-V-E these guys they are so good. I've seen them live a few times down here in Aus... They definately have a great presence onstage. I urge you to buy the album... alot of their songs sound like they come straight outta the late 60s early 70s... Love it. I would recommend the songs Mind's Eye, White Unicorn, Colossal or Dimension if you want a taste of their music.
They are actually doing a couple of gigs in the U.S if you wanna check them out live the dates are posted on their myspace account... I f you have a chance you should really go they are awesome
i really don't think they sound like zeppelin at all. i can tell there's an influence there but i think they have an orignal sound from what i've heard so far...which is a good thing.
Yeah, I know these guys. They are pretty cool. I heard the song they play on the radio, and decided to get the cd and check them out. It wasn't exactly what I expected, but it was good none the less. Check it out if you get a chance. Definatly worth the time.
oh its good to lnow the CD is good, I might check it out, they played an excerpt of one of the songs in NZ, and I liked what I heard and now its good to know, the whole CD is worth listening to.
Wolfmother is definitely worth checking out. I saw them live last month at Fletchers in Baltimore, MD and was very impressed. The amount of energy the three of them create is amazing, and they put on one hell of a show. There are a lot of classic rock influences in their music, and they do an excellent job representing that classic rock sound that needed to be resurrected. http://www.wolfmother.com
I've heard only 2 tracks and read reviews by rock critics... and they're good ... they've got Led Zep influence & 70's black sabbath too... and some said white stripes ...they're typical from the early 70's heavy rock with some psych influence... they sound promisin' ... And their "insearchofspace-haircut" leader told recently that he love the band Yes... ...the man seems to be completely far out... even 4 myself Yes is really beyond my trip :sunglasse
