... to go through the forums every once in a while and just delete all the closed threads? If I were a moderator or whoever it is that's in charge that can do that, ought to. There'd be more room for other threads, and we can't respond to the closed threads anyway, so why not delete them?
i think alot of them are closed by the thread starter, i would not want to be the one to go through them and sort out which ones were closed by mods.
because then they drop your post count as well but, I do see maybe archiving a portion of RT, since we have so many freakin threads in here and resurrecting the dead ones from '04 and so on just pisses most people off
Is it that big of a deal? I mean out of the thousands of threads made, it's a very minor percentage of them that get closed. After a couple of days they're not even on the first few pages, so how are they in the way?
well, if you can't respond to them, then what's the point, really? true, but maybe it's just me, but things often seems to crash... maybe because the forums get to be too full? just a thought, is all.
I can see the logic in deleting defunct threads... but if the site has space to host them..... why worry about it? When i first joined here i got a few giggles and a lotta info from readng old threads
