I am going to place this in the MOVIES Forum as well.

But, I figured it may get more attention in one of the hotter forums.

drama and odd movies--most comedies are really not funny--just stupid.I like to see the actors have some challenges and have to work at their craft N.Dynamite is an example of a pretty good comedy. As was R.Arizona , Lebowski, and Fear & loathing.

If I ever saw that much of Elijah Wood in one sitting, I swear to god I'd kill myself.

I'm going to have to go with escapist here.

i'd really rather watch movies that arn't about people at all but places and things. like trains in the woods or just flying over and seeing places or winding through them, but without the usual kind of bullshit that comes with travellogs either, just the places themselves and the sights and sounds of being there. animations are ok too. even 3d ones. especialy ones without any obvious true humans in them and without the pretentions of pseudomoralizing, nor those of antimoralizing either, or in other words the full spectrum of diversity that is real life, minus the coerciveness of human society.

fiction is FOR escape, it's not really all that worth a dam for anything else, other then maybe some of the traditional indiginous arctypal critter spirit people type stories.

seeing how things actualy work, both in tecnology and in nature is fun too, at least it is to me. or it can be, again when it isn't being used as a vehicule for coerciveness.

that actualy sounds kind of cool, but done in obvious computer 3d animation, NO live (or dead) real human actors though. with light touches of campy humar and insider fan references but not too much overdoing of that either, just enough to not be taken too seriously, not so much as it usurps whatever story line it might otherwise have. it would almost haveto be done in japan or someplace like that. studio megli or some such, NOT disney!

computer 3d was a given, I didnt think I had to mention it.Pirate vampires is what I really want, but the need to feed and the long terms at sea mess with my mind.
