    wasn't he coined the 'godfather of soul' - but to me was the motherfu**er of funk?

    Also - wasn't he a bit of a bad assed dude in some of his dealings (nothing wrong with that - no cars in swimming pools etc)

    I heard that it was terribly hard to make recordings of him because he never said the same shit twice

    and he felt GOOD like he knew that he would... he was the most gangsta bad ass of soul he was

    Well I just did some research - he grew up picking cotton,and shining shoes to earn money - seems the only trouble he got into was prison in 1988 for drug posession.Other than that he's just been 100% showmanship.
