What do you lot thing of this?

I like messing around with christian ideas to, the best one is that christian's worship jesus and mary (I think) and god said only worship me. So everyone worships jesus and mary will go to hell. lol

Ummm, according the nicene councils Jesus posseses divinity, hence he is God, hence you worship him if you believe. Mary (or any of the other saints) in the eyes of Orthodox and Catholic Christians aren't worshiped, they are venerated. Saints are perceived as living in heaven and are asked to pray on yuor behalf to god for whatever reason you ask them to. Also they can perform post humous miracles through God.

Yes, because God is "omni-max" as Libertine calls him he could technically alter his own powers to be able to create such a rock by weakening himself.

Do you refer to Jesus? Well although the body is different (between the Father and the Son) the essence is the same: God's divine essence. The suffering and death (according to Christian tradition) which leads to the ressurection which is the basis for humankind's salvation is out of love for all people.

Can someone please define for me what "worship" means? I mean, what does that really entail?

Haha, you do have me there :D I will admit I stole what I posted from a wikipedia article I read a while back about the omni-max paradox (the rock/burrito paradox) I can't fully rememebr if it was that god could change his powers and that was the answer, but I do rememerb that being one of the arguments.

Ok, I was ust adding that for, well, a "paper trail" if you want to call it that so I woudln't have to explain later if someone didn't know that

Ok, so it seems what FedUp posted was funny? I always hate to have jokes explained to me, but i think I am missing out on this one

Within Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity states that God is a single Being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a communion of three persons (personae, prosopa): Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit. Since the 4th Century AD, in both Eastern and Western Christianity, this doctrine has been stated as "One God in Three Persons," all three of whom, as distinct and co-eternal "persons" or "hypostases," share a single Divine essence, being, or nature.

    sactly--

you see a lot of these: [IMG] when people try and explain the trinity concept

"god himself" is misleading because depends on which sect you follow God may be incorpreal or corpreal (i do believe)

this is a question that i cannot fathom fully and no one ever will on earth. EVER. we can only give an opinion. Here is mine: i think that God gave humans free will so that we would not live like a manipulated puppet. Although some may argue that we are still manipulated by God as he is controlling us with the threat of Hell, i think that God wanted us to enojy making the decisions of life ourselves. To have the UPS and the DOWNS.I dont know about anyone else here, but some of the most character building experiences in my life were when i made BIG mistakes. Free will not only allows mistakes, but it also allows, Freedom (obviously, clues in the question lol) and growth, learning, soul searching and a much more lived life than if we had of lived in Eden in ignorance and puppeteered by God. Also i think that the reason that GOd tells us of hell is to WARN us that there is the force of Satan at work too...and that non-union with God means that you can easily slip more into union with the Devil ( i am in no way saying that if your not with God that you are with Satan, but rather you are succeptible to Satan).

But thats just my two cents as it were. I will never know whilst im still here on Earth, and thats just fine with me.
