does anyone know the chevron pattern in crochet? i can't what i need to know about it on the internet. i need to know the stitch multiple, and the pattern.
Here's a double-crochet one: Multiples of 13. Row 1: Sk 3 ch, 4 dc in next 4 ch, 3 dc in next ch, 5 dc in next 5 ch, *sk 2 ch, 5 dc in next 5 ch, 3 dc in next ch, repeat from * across row, ch 3, turn. Row 2: Sl 1st st, 4 dc in next 4 sts, 3 dc in next st, 5 dc in next 5 sts, *sk 2 sts, 5 dc in next 5 sts, repeat from *, ending with 4 dc, in the last group sk 1 dc, 1 dc in last ch, ch 3, turn. Repeat from row 2. I made my daughter a cream-colored fuzzy afghan with this stitch (used Dazzle-aire yarn). If I have time tomorrow I'll try to find my directions for the single-crochet version (also known as a "ripple" stitch). Happy crocheting!
Glad to help ---here's the single-crochet version (the one most people associate with ripple afghans, etc.): Multiple of 13+12+2. Row 1: Sc in 3rd ch from hk, sc in ea of next 4 chs. *Inc 3 sc in next ch, sc in ea of next 5 chs. Repeat from * across, ending with 3 sc in next ch, sc in ea of next 6 chs. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: Working in back loop only, sk next sc, *sc in ea of next 5 sc, work 3 sc in next sc (inc made), sc in ea of next 5 sc, skip 2 sc (dec made). Repeat from 8 across, ending with sc in ea of next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in ea of next 6 sc. Ch 1, turn. Peace, Annie
