in the mess hall freshman year as a recruit at the oldest, private military college in the US. now, as a recruit, in the mess hall, we could not talk, look around, get up to do anything. everything we did, we had to ask permission, and of course, we had to do it in 3rd person (ie. this recruit requests permission to get more food, requests permission to take a hand - use the napkin). we had to sit on the front 6 inches of the chair with our back straight, looking forward at all times, couldn't look at our food. we couldnt' talk, laugh, giggle, move around... so one of the games we played was we would put our hand on the guy next to us. we'd start on his knee. and slowly move up his leg. massaging his leg on the way up. then you get to his thigh and your rubbing it. all the while, the guy your rubbing is trying not to laugh, smirk, yell, talk, move around, whatever. so you'd keep moving further up his leg. and you keep moving up and rubbing until he breaks and says something, moves, flinches and gets in trouble.
another story from freshman year... there was 2 shower stalls in the bathroom in my dorm freshman year with 2 shower heads each. now, we had the misfortune of having one of the shower stalls break. no water at all. so having 1 shower stall, at a military school as a recruit, you know that you have to shit, shower and shave pretty quickly. now, we had almost 30 guys. now to shit, shower, and shave with 30 guys in 10 minutes, in a bathroom with 1 shower stall is quite difficult to do in 10 mintues...so you could have guessed it, we had 5 guys in the shower stall at 1 time. needless to say, no one dropped the soap and if ya did, it stayed on the floor until everyone was done showering....
