Bob Dylan did a song "Boots of Spanish Leather" and cows had to die to make those boots so boycott Bob's music so cows don't have to die needlessly

Its just a song. And does it say anywhere that they were killed in the song? They could have died of natural causes. Would you rather have hundreds of kids making your shoes over in a third world country in sweat shops or have a cow killed for your shoes? Better yet why dont we go bare foot

Since it's a song about a pair of boots that don't really exist, then the cows only had to pretend to die. They were probably given compensation for their work. They're happy now.

Actually they don't use the same cow for leather as they do for meat. That would make sense. However, if they did that than they would need to make sure the animals' skin was healthy. They give different hormones for different outcomes. Cows are cheap enough, anyway. Besides, a good part of the leather in storse (especially in shoes) is imported and you can't always be sure what animal it came from. Often times it is dog ans cat leather.
