She makes me sick, I'm all up for making fun of people, but what she did was just offensive (the whole converting to islam thing to get on the good side of the judges), anyone else agree?

Maybe that guy in Singapore should borrow Michelle Leslie's Muslim head scarf.. I'm sure she won't be wearing it again, and you never know, it may bring him the same luck...

His brother must feel absolutely wonderful, knowing his brother is going to be hung because of his debts. That said, this guy chose to do it. He should be punished and while death is extreme, that is the known law. People stun me, they deliberately break laws in these countries with severe punishments. Personally this goes beyond punishment and goes straight to the kind of people that government has. To be shot would be more humane but they insist on a slow painful death. That's pathetic and disgraceful. He's a poor bastard, who brought this on himself, however his ignorance. It will hopefully serve as a strong message to other idiots who think about commiting drug crimes.

Leslie though, how quick did she ditch her Muslim gear. She said she's a Muslim regardless of what she wears. Right. When she returns to her underwear modelling, this is exactly what Muslim women wear in public. What a moron. There is something fishy about the whole thing, why else are a lot of Aussies finding a problem with her. We're not idiots.

Model Michelle Leslie must be ecstatic (pardon the pun) that she is finally free from Bali’s Kerobokan jail.

Despite being found guilty of carrying two ecstasy tablets in her Gucci handbag, I was more intrigued with her sudden personal life declaration - converting or as they say, reverting to Islam.

Being Muslim myself I was quite critical of her conversion. Was it true? Could such a beautiful model, who normally struts her stuff on the catwalk in a bikini, give all that up for modesty and God? Critical I continued to be until I saw her picture in the papers and on television in a Muslim-style burqua. Actually I was shocked and thought it was a little too extreme and was convinced she did it to get the sympathy and respect of the court. I mean, who wouldn’t when a maximum jail sentence of 15 years was possible?

I was still doubtful until her friends and family came out and declared it was true. Michelle Leslie had been living with a nice Muslim family and had converted to Islam long before she was found guilty of drug charges. If this is the case then why did Michelle only decide to “cover up” until she was in a Bali prison with the prospect of an extended jail term?

OK, so finally I succumbed and thought, “Wow, this is fantastic, Michelle Leslie has converted to Islam for its great ways, despite all the nonsense people say about it these days”.

As I continued to watch her case on the news I was probably more in awe of her beauty than anything else. I mean, who wasn’t? However it also occurred to me that she no longer wore the burqua. Well fair enough, that is even a little extreme for me. Instead she came out wearing a jilbab (long, black, modest Muslim dress) lovely black hair partly showing.

I guess you can say as her confidence with the case grew, so did her old ways. At this point I was still convinced she was Muslim: to start off by wearing a burqua was over the top, so it was clear to me she had toned down in dress to suit herself, not to mention the Bali weather.

Three months on, Michelle Leslie is free and by the time this is printed, Michelle will be safely at home among family and friends. That’s all fantastic but I could not hide my shock, anger and disbelief that the latest release of pictures have been of her in fitted jeans and skimpy singlet tops, revealing a lot more than her modest “Bali times” jilbab.

Has Michelle been ridiculing the courts and Muslims just to get a sympathy vote all the time? Despite being found guilty, she still stuck to her Muslim appearance until she was freed and back to being the model that she is.

Now that she is out and back to her normal life, there has been no mention of her conversion to Islam or how she plans to tackle fitting her current way of life to this modest religion.

The media seem more concerned with her future wedding to millionaire boyfriend, Scott Sutton. Well I only have two things left to say here: one - “Michelle, congratulations on getting out” and two - “while you are on the hunt to sell your story to the highest bidder, don’t forget to mention the truth behind your conversion,” or in Pauline Hanson’s famous words, “Please explain” as there is a whole community that does not deserve to be snubbed.

Will the C.I.A be hung for drug smuggling? I doubt it. It's a trillion dollar industry. I wonder why it's illegal. Ha HA Where doe's all the bread go? The illegal drug trade is only second to bombs and war in the amount of profit to be made. Legalise all drugs and what will fuel a lot of the war industry? If people want to shoot up let 'em,at least they'll get a clean fixed dose without o.d's. But think about it they would have to legalise the Psychedelics and as the C.I.A knows from it's early Acid Tests, they don't want pure Sandoz LSD-25 on the street.Love and PEACE

i agree, only not on the part about psychedelics. i think the cia don't want psychedelics legalised just for the fact that they're the best substances around for consciousness-expansion and de-conditioning. if they were legal, you would have enough people de-conditioning themselves to start an early revolution; and that's the last thing they want! it's the exact same reason that they were made illegal in the first place.

i don't see why the cia would care if people were freaking out, because they're not exactly the teletubbies. they know they import and export dangerous hard drugs, and that the illegal drugs that they don't import and export are the safest of all. they also know that "chaos" is their speciality.

    read what clockworkorangeagain said.

well you shouldn't have to hope if you're a good shot. ;) remember, you're in control of your own destiny... so before you see her, practice your throwing technique. :) of course a part of why she got off was her status as a celebrity. and she didn't get off scott free... 3 months in a shithole isn't getting off scott free. or are you one of those people that think she should have been tortured for having a couple of illegal pills? for christ sake, don't people know that legal drugs kill more people than all illegal drugs combined?

just pretty much repeating what syd said again
seriously wouldnt you suck up to as many people as possible to get out of that position?
so it is hypocritical and stupid
    so what
there are muslim women who dont conform to the usual ideals of how muslim women should dress and act
she's not the only muslim model
and i say all power to them. why shouldnt they have the right to not be suppressed, just coz so many of the men in their religion say they should be?
