Okay, this is sort of gross, but over the past month or so, I've realized that one of the "symptoms" of my anxiety wasn't actually caused by anxiety. I had thought that I would never be able to actually cope with my anxiety because of the one symptom that just wouldn't go away. Then I started getting really dizzy and lightheaded all the time, went to the doctor, and found out that I had a ton of symptoms of irritable bowel sydrome (this is embarrassing to talk about, but I think it's neccessary). The IBS and anxiety make each other worse (and also the IBS was affecting my health a bit)! Aha. So I got a perscription for something to make my insides do what they are supposed to, and now the anxiety that remains is so much easier to cope with. Like... I can actually deal with things without the fear of becoming an anxious mess! It's amazing. So my advice to you all with anxiety is if you're having a REALLY weird, intense and possibly embarrassing physical symptoms of anxiety, you should talk to a doctor about it, because the "anxiety symptom" could be caused by some other problem. Wow, that was incredibly hard to write... but I hope someone benefits from it! Peace. ~Nova
