been doin my thing with a 44 year old old school taught chiropractor.. lotsa energy,, very committed. the one harsh thing to me is hes a bible thumper.. just fucks me up.. how can one be so brutal an love so much?
Chiropracters (two) have helped me big-time in the past, mostly with pinched nerves. Some doctors don't believe in it; some doctors don't believe in The End Times or Satan:WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT THEY BELIEVE OR NOT? I know-- and, I know chiropracters can solve some (not all) illnesses. So sayeth Burl! What sayeth Diligraff about my novel? Last I heard, she was on page 158.
i think shes in short attention span theater.. no worrys old school chiropractor has convinced her to make me take the next2 to 3 days off as toexpadite my healin process.. i dont think he was to happy with my spine this afternnon after work.. i think i fucked his saturday mornin up.. so i outta respect fer my fucked up back an two folks that could put me ina wheel chair at this moment,,must sit on my ass an annoy the forums till they deem me fit for babylon.. GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
She may "finish" reading it, but IT WILL REMAIN IN HER BRAIN, FOREVER! (I just love this power I have-- how can anyone forget "Rammy", who was based on a real person who actually died the same day that Elvis did--August 16, 1977? [His real name was Grover McClaskey, and may he rest in peace--God knows he needs some. Peace, that is. Next case.
GROVER, by God! He used to swing naked (and, he was a hairy bastard) from the exposed rafters of his log cabin-bar. Men like that just ain't made everyday. And damn fewer get to own a bar. And, very few of those have a chronicler like me. Hippiehillbilly will tell you.
I guess my friend Bob would qualify as an old chiropractic.(He's 66) I work on his computer and he works on my messed up neck. He sometimes starts to get preachy (he's a Mormon) and I just change the subject to gardening. (he loves gardening) it usually gets him off the soapbox. When does keep preaching, I guess my incessant head nodding is good exercise anyway...LOL
I worked my spine into a broken disc(operation for that one) and serpintine shape ,roofing for 500 years(it seems)and I've tried 'em from Oregon to Florida.I thought I was done with my trade until I found the right chiro. He is in Visalia ,Cal and he is the only one that figured out how to adjust mine properly.I've gone in,doubled over with pain, supported by friends with involuntary tears coming from the old peepers.Walked out on my own and in 3 or4 days was pain free.If you find the right one--stick with him.A couple tried those little door --stopper looking things on me.Sheeeeit--what a joke they are.I need a serious rasslin' match!
Hey Scratcho, I hope your recent birthday celebration went well. Anyways.. I got an ol' "roofing" story for ya'. One time I was putting "skylights" in on a brand new galvanized tin roof.(a farm shop) I was kinda sitting on my feet, leanin over to put the screws in and a gust of that famous oklahoma wind hit me. I slid backwards down the roof and right off the edge, landing on my knees in the back of my truck. (about a 10 foot drop) Yes, I had quite a bit of trouble getting around for a while due to the sore hips. Everytime my hip hurts, I think about how lucky it was that the truck was there. If I had landed on the ground like that...owwww!
Wandering Okie----thanks for the birthday wishes--and man--you got lucky on your fall!Have I got some funny-ass roofing stories?Oh yeah! But thats for another thread.---------------have some fun today--scratcho--------

I hurt my neck back in 94'. I was working on a drain at a restaurant and was pulling a "hot hose" in the back door. My feet slipped on the wet floor, and I hit my neck on the corner of a prep table. It knocked me out cold. After six months of physical therapy and all sorts of doctors visits I was told that the left side of my discs at c-5 and c-6 had deteriorated. Consequently, my neck grinds and pops when I turn my head. I found some stuff a while back. It helps with the grinding in my neck. It's a supplement called Lubra-Flex. I don't know how it works, but it does help a bit. When the neck gets bad though, I still have to call Dr. Bob and he gives it a "CRACK!" It hurts so bad at first that I have to laugh. Then it like..ahhhhh...that's better. I know that sounds weird but...hey. It usually gets me by for a week or so. Fortunately, I'm still in the credit column with him. So far this year, I've replaced his sewer main and remodeled the bathroom at his home. And built him 2 computers. He pretty much owes me adjustments for life.
Tried ultrasound? It can help prevent/ stop some of the grinding/ gritty/ popping stuff. Least it does for me...
i screwed up my back in 84 .saw all kinds of chiros ..only made it worse ..got operated on in 93 ....spent 2 months in the hospital due to complications ..had to be operated a second time .......today my back is as good as it has ever been .....but was told after the operation if it had gone for a couple more years i would have been paralyzed from the waist down .......operation musta worked good because i work in the woods at times and dig all the graves by hand here in town and even though the back is sore at the end of the day ,the next morning it's like i never worked the day before
