Anyone Like Australian 60s and 70s bands?

Anyone here into Australian bands from the 60s and 70s era?

Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs, The Easybeats, Twilights, The Loved Ones, Masters Apprentices, Chain, etc?

Being an Aussie I love this stuff, as if its part of being patriotic or something.

The only Australian band from the 60's I know is The Easybeats... I like them

 

I must admit that i hardly know any Australian bands....from your list I've only heard of the Easybeats and that is because they still play "Friday On My Mind" on the radio.

I believe they are half dutch so my patriotic side likes them

 

yes well in the 60s most Australian bands were made up of migrants, mostly English which is why our bands then sounded closer to the English style than the American stuff.The Easybeats were probably the biggest band of the era, followed by The Masters Apprentices, who went from being a mid 60s beat group, and went right through to the hairy and bearded early 70s...

 

eh.. i feel guilty that i dont support the aussie music industry as much as i should...

However, Most People I know (Billy thorpe)... is the best song ever!!!
