    my size please? :)

hey this spawns a real question.....
the last dress, was the bust part hard to make??? with the bunchy elastic stuff??

I want a light yellow full legnth sun dress like that, in adult size for me. I used to sport those all the time wheni was little, and now they have all these gay looking shirts out for women that are i guess 'inspired' by those dresses, but i think they're super lame. I want a full dress like the ones i used to wear as a kid!! Help!

I actually made another one that ill post later today..that started as a womans short dress but since i am still learned how to make em turned into a lil mama dress...
they arent really hard..i could see how some ppl would say yes they are..
    its kinda tedious tho...
ya just need to get some elastic thread and handwind it on yer bobbin. cut yer fabric way bigger than you think you will need..like that dress i just made was 45 inches around for the bust n it still was still too small once it was shirred. It stretched to about 30 inches and did actually fit my dress form but i thought it looked too stretched..anyways..overcompensate for the stretch..
when you sew it..you put a small hem on the top of where yer bodice is gonna be with normal bobbin thread..then put in yer elastic bobbin.
now, the longer stitch you use..the tighter the gathering is...so keep that in mind. Then you just stitch around once, when you finish that row cut the elastic threads long enough to tie em...for the top threads i usually just backstitch those.
make sure when you are sewing the additional rows..that you are holding the elastic taunt
    thats pretty much it..lol..
it is really tedious but yeah..it looks super!

    n thanks you guys!!

greengoddess-ive not made any lil boys clothes in ages..i am just better at makin girlie clothes i think..since i only have lil boys at home, no lil girls to dress..im dressing the worlds lil girls..lol
i wanna make some lil ppl summer overalls..so ill prolly make boys and girls of those..
