phil and friends summer 06!

i know everyone is just as excited as i am for phil and friends this summer. if i had the money/time i would start at bonnaroo and follow them all the way to 10k lakes.

the only thing is....weren't we all thinking this was going to be our summer for another dead tour? do you think it's still a possibility? wave that flag feels like it was years ago. this phil tour was announced somewhat late....maybe it's the result of the dead idea not working out? or did i miss something?

anyway, its going to be one hell of a summer. maybe 07 will be our year.

 

I don't think another dead tour will happen.

 

why is that? phil himself said it was in the works for this summer. they haven't had any huge falling outs, and bobby and phil both still tour every year...they are both playing all the dead standards, they obviously still want to play the music of the grateful dead. they can put aside any differences and tour, the dead have always been a band to care about the fans, which is more then i can say for some jam bands these days. did you hear anything specific?

I haven't heard anything, but I thought the falling out was bigger than it was, I suppose.

 

I have heard that Bobby and Phil have had some sort of disagreement regarding copyright issues and the songs, but I´ve never been one for celebrity gossip. If that is the case I´m sure I would take Phil´s side, but I´d rather they just kiss and make up and head back on the road. Ah well, this tour will be great either way, mike, trey, the duo, scofeild??? holy shit!

 

its gonna be crazy. i was wishing for a Dead 06 summer tour.....but i will gladly wait till New Years...come on guys, give us another 03-04 romp!!!! it was insane!

I just bought two tix for the Hartford show, now all I need is someone to go with!

I'll be at the Tweeter Center on the waterfront in Camden,NJ on 6-30. I love that place , especially how you can look over and see the Philly skyline at night but Camden is a pretty shady place,lol. I have great memories of Phish shows there though. INSANE glow stick wars.

The day after that show we are heading out to CO for the national rainbow gathering . Camp with the rainbow family for about 5 days and then back home. I got tickets for Phil and friends in Scranton on 7-11 but I might sell them because I think I would rather go check out the Cheesedog show ( String Cheese Incident- Ratdog) at Penns Landing in Philly on that same day. Then from there its on to share some love at the ALL Good Festival http://www.allgoodfestival.com/ in WV for 4 days. Then thats it till The Gathering of the Vibes in August. http://www.gatheringofthevibes.com/ Should be a great summer !!
