get used to it. the british government ships in and enslaves cheap labour in the name of sound economic principles. illegal slave labour is the favourite of the government because these people have no rights whatever. just thank your lucky stars you aren't them. as i say to everyone from the uk - move.

Oh really, the British government "ships them in" then does it? Or maybe free citizens of free (EU) countries buy bus and plane tickets and come here voluntarily, because of the opportunities available?

You might try working yourself some day, its not half bad.

but is that the way to make the tension better, say its not working with a whole bunch of people from elsewhere in the world?

and when you say tension, it this from a personal expereince, or are you summing up the whole of the UK here, because i feel no tension at all

let us keep ip our multicultural acceptance in the UK, and show that people from different people can live together peacefully

No - your right I'm not exactly helping matters - sorry it's not intentional - and I am probably talking more from personal experience - it's just well, something I've become disallutioned with - which is why I threw the thought up in the air - cos I've been working in a town that relies heavily on the tourist industry - there are lots of hotels here and I was living in one of them - I lived there for a year but eventually moved out.I still work at the hotel but I am frankly glad I'm not part of that community anymore - I always thought of myself as open to other cultures in the uk - willing to learn other languages, and exchange/accept other beliefs/perspectives.I have made alot of good friends while I've been here - South African,Polish,Slovakian,Russian - but what frightens me is when there are so many people from one culture gradually increasing by numbers in one place because rather than becoming integrated, they turn in on themselves and it seems to result in a seperate community. Not only that but some of these people already have problems with each other - poland/russian relations don't seem to be that hot right now - so there is tension there already. On a one to one level as I say - I have made some good friends - but they have tended to be people just more on my wavelength - but the majority of people don't seem to have much respect for the country that is offering these oppurtunities, and are too ready to assume that just because they have some kind of problem - eg their wages are quite low,or hours are quite long that the reason for this is a racial one rather than (as I often try and point out) taking on board the fact that alot of brits work long hours for low wages.I would like to help matters - especially where I live - but I don't really know how I can - while if I for example organised a ...i dunno - a party or something,I'd be happy for anyone to come along if they are fairly decent people regardless of where they're from.It just doesn't seem to be mutual.I'm desperately trying not to sound negative - but I'm begginning to run out of answers

i do understand where you are coming from, but all we can do is make a choice, do we want to continue to be a country who offers refuge and welcomes other culture (whether or not all appreciate it is another matter), and tries our best to intergrate or not. i fear that if we become a unwelcoming place where we do the segragation ourselves the situation will get worse.

we just have to continue trying to be welcoming, trying to treat people from all over the planet as equals and part of the community. it is hard to pinpoint how one goes about this....i'm going to go for, help all when help is needed, talk to people from all cultures and the main point, never treat a single human being differently, treat them all with peace and love, and I believe you are one step towards a better world

rg paddler - you must get a trade at all costs. britain as an entity, that you may have been brought up in or imagined through your parents or television is finished. democracy and freedom are finished there. helicopters flying up the motorways spying on people, surveillance towers, cameras everywhere, police everywhere, just admit its over. when the country had its industrial de-volution in the seventies it was the beginning of everything that is now. crap jobs, little education. the uk is a feudal society now in all but name, this is not a new phenomenan for the uk but you may not be aware of this. its best not to dwell on this you'll only make yourself miserable, try and get a trade in the uk, if you can't - move.

as an investment in your health, wealth and mental wellbeing its better to get out whilst you can. it may be possible to get a trade in england. work towards this goal if you can't then start looking at other alternatives. forget the cold weather and burdenous tax that chokes the life out of the country whilst foreign wars and the merchants weaken the country at any opportunity. i woke up to myself ten years ago. the best thing you can start doing is thinking, thinking, the sooner the better or you'll end up in a council flat and being killed by the government in one of those "cold snaps" that the government prays for. in the meantime - try to start reading more, start to travel more in england get a motorcycle or something. go to places like pembrokeshire, glastonbury tor, avebury, major cathedrals like salisbury, canterbury, winchester, explore the west country and dorset, discover the national parks like the lake district, the malverns, mendips, lulworth cove and durdle dor, exeter and dartmoor you must go to holy island and hadrians wall. the south has numerous roman relics, villas etc. reading -try history, stay away from illustrious publications from the bbc and the like, they are garbage. very few events are put into context. you must learn something of science and maths, now again the books in the uk are filled with garbage. if you want i can send you some basic exercises in maths from fractions to calculus. as an englishman in exile i have sympathy with your situation but forget the anger and frustration it will lead you no where. getting an education is important, colleges might be an option but they are ... well dare i say it garbage too. private tuition is the only option but for the englishman this is probably beyond his wallet. stop drinking the tap water it is poisoned by "fluoride", drink untainted bottle water or your teeth and health will be ruined.

above all consider the ravings of this madman and if you do you may awaken..

hey - I'm not completely ignorant you know - well maybe a little.I live in the lake district - windermere, and I play the piano for a living, and I have travelled all around Britain - I lived in Scotland for a while, and Sussex, and busked all around.I just think some towns are a bit more culturally integrated than others.Such as Brighton - I was there for about 10 years - but even there - once you get out into othere towns, like Newhaven - the doors are closed again.I read quite alot - Thomas Hardy and the like and I've recently done a study of the golden mean. It's not difficult to get an education these days - I started trying to learn Polish and it's pretty hard to get books on that round here - but there's always the internet which if for nothing else is useful for ordering things not readily available.
Thanks for your input though - where did you emmigrate to? US?

i've been walking around windermere YHA camping etc washed in a waterfall!! camped on a mountain top lashed with rain at nightfall to watch the morningclouds move as a carpet across the peaks. stopped at a farmers house and got some fresh milk. when i left england i was exposed to the modern world unfetterd by high taxes and a reduced fuck you attitude to the working class. if i could meet myself in the past twenty years ago i would have immediately told myself to leave, sometimes it takes an outsiders knowledge to know when something is wrong. the jobs issue won't go away. as for the polish - my limited interactions have left me with the impression of a thoughtful, generous people but as with many things this may not always be the case. i wish you luck
