who was in amsterdam the sickest place in the world. i like the greenhouse and the blue bird coffeeshops they are great
I was wondering a couple things about amsterdam myself also. How available are jobs in the place? How much is the bud? I know its legal to smoke there but is there an age limit?
amsterdam is an oasis of nugs. no one there works, they just smoke pot all day. and when your walking down the streets people randomly throw nugs at you and you can use those nugs to buy stuff like more nugs...
I think they wouldnt sell it to minors. I mean it's up to your physical appearance and the shop keeper's common sense. But i'm sure that they'd be much more strict in not employing minors....
Haha I really hope you are kidding. I studied in Europe last semester and often made my way to Amsterdam for weekend trips. You have to be 18 to go into a coffee shop, and I hear it is pretty tough to get jobs at them. I really can’t remember the prices but it is CHEAP, and the bud is awesome. I wanna go back soooo bad. Below is a pic i took there. They also sell shrooms there, in "smart shops."
That's a beautiful picture man. I was in Amsterdam a few years back, I was 16 and bought a pipe and and some weed (without my family seeing) and we took the train back to Paris which is where I smoked all my stuff. It was great, seeing people just rolling joints in the street like it's nothing, people smoking HUGE joints with their kids right by them. America should be like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"amsterdam is an oasis of nugs. no one there works, they just smoke pot all day" Its true, I went there and everyone was just sitting in the street smoking....I went into some shops and banks and the people were just sitting smoking and eating biscuits. http://192.148.252.25/~reatta/menus.html
no one works there they just smoke pot all day?? people are smoking everywhere, eating biscuits and they throw nuggs at you?? fuckin numbskulls. i was in amsterdam spring break before last. visited many coffeeshops. most herb was between 5-8 euros a gram, some higher. and just for your information, most people i encountered in coffeeshops were american touists. not "no working, nug throwing, biscuit eating" dutch locals. jeeeeeesh ignorance makes me sick.
I want to go soo bad! My friend and I have a number of places that we would like to go to. Some places are Ireland and Rome. If I came up wth $2,000 last winter I could have gone to 5 different European countries on some school thing.
i patied there for 5 days and nights straight and i saw NOT ONE PERSON smoking in the street. some coffeeshops with a patio even had signs up that read "please roll joints inside". remember folks, marijuana and other drugs aren't legal in amsterdam. they are just tolerated up to a certain point. such as the mushrooms. you can buy fresh refridgerated shrooms anywhere, but if you are caught with DRY ones you WILL be arrested. same as hash, you can have up to 5 grams of hash or cannabis on person, but any HASH OIL you will be arrested for it due to the processing and use of solvents for extraction. and the coffeeshops are not allowed to posses over(if i remember correctly)500 grams, and you cannot purchase over 5 grams in 1 coffeeshop. hope that sheds a little REALITY on the subject besides what the blabbering idiots are talking about......throwing nuggs, not working eating biscuits all day bwahahahahahahahahaha.
Haha, I think most of these people have never been before, cause that is nothing what it is like! The post above hit it right on. Here is a picture I took of the main street you seen when you come out of the central train station. That big building is the train station.
One thing to consider when going there is the ONLY thing that is cheap is the bud, especially with current exchange rates. I was there for a week in March and I was blown away by how expensive everything was.
Ill second that, I was there for a little over a month and spent over $9,000, and that was with dorm room allready paid for durring the week. And not including airline.
Yeah, who doesn't want to go there? There's a documentary on the Sundance film channel called Weed and they document the cannibis cup down there and also show all the coffee houses and shit. It'd probably be a good thing to watch for anyone going there, they have some great footage of shops and shit.
hahaha.... i wish dude. i just got back from amsterdam, and that's not the place i was just at. you've gotta remember that the dutch are used to having weed available all the time, so it's not quite as special as it is in the americas. i rarely saw people toking in the streets, it's sort of considered rude, and there's definitely not people randomly throwing nugs at you. where the hell were you? lol
