Uh yes, last time I checked Christianity was still thriving. Along with various other monotheistic religions. Not to mention the polytheistic religions, they have a selection of Gods and indeed Goodesses. Why would anyone think otherwise?
Christianity is not thriving -- it is entering a period of heavy decline, as more and more Christians leave their churches, and less and less people are joining the Christian ranks. Still -- while it isn't thriving, it is indeed still the most popular religion in the world.
I don't think I persoanlly would classify it as "heavy decline" but it is definitly on the downswing while Islam is steadily on the rise
"wow liek u r so kewl. omg liek totally dood religion izz hardcore passé" That is seriously how you come off to me, like one of those jr high kids who when faced with cerfew legislation say that "it is stupid" as an argument (that happened recently here)
I'll be alone each and every night While you're away, don't forget to write Bye-bye, so long, farewell Bye-bye, so long See you in September See you when the summer's through Here we are (bye, baby, goodbye) Saying goodbye at the station (bye, baby, goodbye) Summer vacation (bye, baby bye, baby) Is taking you away (bye, baby, goodbye) Have a good time but remember There is danger in the summer moon above Will I see you in September Or lose you to a summer love (counting the days 'til I'll be with you) (counting the hours and the minutes, too) Bye, baby, goodbye Bye, baby, goodbye Bye, baby, goodbye (bye-bye, so long, farewell) Bye, baby, goodbye (bye-bye, so long) Have a good time but remember There is danger in the summer moon above Will I see you in September Or lose you to a summer love (I'll be alone each and every night) (While you're away, don't forget to write) See you (bye-bye, so long, farewell) In September (bye-bye, so long, farewell) I'm hopin' I'll See you (bye-bye, so long, farewell) In September (bye-bye, so long, farewell) Well, maybe I'll See you (bye-bye, so long, farewell) In September (bye-bye, so long, farewell)
Have a good time but remember There is danger in the summer moon above Will I see you in September Or lose you to a summer love
I still believe...always will. I don't care what everybody else does. The concept of God is permanent.
All of the lonely nights Waiting for you to come, longing to hold you tight I need you so desperately Waiting for you to come bringing your love to me [but] I'd wait a million years Walk a million miles, cry a million tears I'd swim the deepest sea Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me As love is reality When you are near to me, I am in ecstasy I'd swallow the pain and pride Baby, I just can't hide all that I feel inside [and] I'd wait a million years Walk a million miles, cry a million tears I'd swim the deepest sea Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me A million years, I would wait for you A million tears, baby I'd be true A million miles, I would follow you A million years, if you want me to Pacing the floor, detest Sweat pouring down my chest, still I can't love you less It's worth all the pain and pride Baby, I just can't hide all that I feel inside [and] I'd wait a million years Walk a million miles, cry a million tears I'd swim the deepest sea Climb the highest hill, just to have you near me
The question was - anyone still believe in god. Straight away various religions have stepped up and said - yes! my god is still alive and kicking. When are you going to understand the meaning of the word 'religious' - if you are reigious you subscribe to a written set way of living.Nobody can write these rules for you - you can be given a guide as to what is right and wrong - but how you lead your life is up to you.Try your best and try to learn from your mistakes. The rest will be history. If you do something that means you don't feel happy with yourself - then try - try - to do something that a:helps you b:helps the rest of us - cos we're no experts either - we all just muddle along trying to do what is right - however some of us get it seriously wrong
Its funny how you should say that because the whole point of this thread is to sound like a new generation kid who figures that religion isn't popular and was a phad. Its just sad how you couldn't pick up on it, I feel for you.
I Believe in All Gods/Godesses, but that doesnt nessecarily mean i worship them, its not like god has ever said "I am Almighty God!, Bow down before me! or you will be condemned to hell!" He is not The Man
Yeah. Once you get to know God, you're gonna end up worshipping God anyway... that's how cool God is. It's pretty funny that the 1st commandment is love God the most. You know something I noticed about my mom today (came to my parents for mothers day- flew into town yesterday)? She always tells me to do stuff that I would do anyway. Somehow this pisses me off and makes me not want to do the stuff. She always did that. Now it makes me laugh... she is such a nutball. You gotta watch out for your parents, they love to play mind games with you. Ohh, and beware of God.
Yes, sure i still believe in God. Why not?! By the way, we all believe in some sort of god, some worship money, some others worship their own desires, etc. We all have a kind of god.
i belive in there being all sorts of things no one knows anything about. that's just the point thought. no one, myself included, does. although i do feel something. nontangable. wishing us well. =^^= .../\...
I believe in God, but I do not believe in religion. After reading these posts, it is apparent at how maturity dictates genuine concern for one's own spirituality. I will not degrade another's deity (as some have) just in case we are all varying paths leading to a common center. Many replied to this question with demeaning responses about God. It signifies your anger and misunderstanding of your own spirituality. Reaching maturity will allow you to find that beautiful place within yourself that grants you true peace. The God I love and trust is patient, loving, and forgiving...and the peace thereof is gracefully inviting.
