    I overheard the Trees today
    While wandering through my forest
    They were gossiping again
    Talking of me and you
It seems they’re angry with us

Of course, I can’t blame them

    They’ve got word from Amazon
    They’re issuing an ultimatum
Too bad we won’t pay any attention
    To the Trees’ peaceful communities
We only take what we want
Why can’t we live in harmony?

    We’re killing off their population
We place our needs above theirs
    They’re alive too, godammnit.

Not bad, and I agree with the sentiment. But what was the ultimatum?

the ultimatum, is not disclosed.. perhaps a demand that we cease all the logging, the next line

too bad we wont pay any attention

    makes the ultimatum irrelevant.

But this isn't necessarily a great poetic achievemant I just love the last line. hehe
