i play lots of music on the side for fun, and this requires people coming over to jam every now and then.

to lower my stress rate and tylenol intake, i decided to build a stealth cabinet. heres my methods and how much it costs to get started using one of the 10 billion growing methods out there. will be happy to do my best with any questions you guys might have.

    component:

C-22 model storage cabinet from home depot $120
400 watt sunlight supply hps sodium system $185
    cool tube and reflector$185
520 CFM Vortex brand centrifugal fan $250
    regular fan $10
    hanna digital ph meter $60
2 bags of fox farms ocean floor soil $32
    1 3.8 cu ft brick of promix$25
    pure blend grow $8
    age old grow $8
    liquid karma catalyst $6
    fox farms tiger bloom $8
fox farms marine cuisine amendment -forgot price
    rainbow mix bloom $10
400 watt hps eye hortilux bulb $80
400 MH conversion eye hortilux bulb $80
Island sweet skunk x Celestial temple sativa seeds $38
    Mikado seeds $57
    Rupa seeds $30
    Hawiian sativa seeds $57

Nice setup man.. How are the odor levels?

Oh and those are some niice genetics, you should have fun with those :p

Organic does rule overall, especially if you know how to get good yields with it.. Then you the the whole package, quality and quantity. Those buds should taste delicious..

Good luck man.. keep up the good work
    Peace

hey man, thats a real nice setup you got going. love the venting for some reason, how do your temps hold out? you might have said this, but wat was your overall cost?im to stoned to add it up and lazy. i assume those seeds are indica dominant right? i dunno how flowering some sativas in there would work.

im just trying to clarify cus that system is what ive always wanted to do. you shuld get a faq going like step by step on how you did it.

only indica dominant strains i got is the mikados and one of the unlabled plants in there. Rupa is 50/50 so it may take on indica or a sativa pheno type only time will tell. the rest(hence their names island sweet skunk x celestial temple SATIVA/hawiian SATIVA), are pure sativas which are trained properly to fit under the light in the small space. with out bending and training, most pure sativas would out grow this box if you vegged it long as i did.
temps run 79-84. and it gets FUCKIN HOT outside where i live. we dont even barley have a winter.
as for the cost, i put the numbers up there for YOU to add up. if you are too lazy to add up numbers then good luck with building a stealth box.

actually im on vacation and im gonna be too "stoned and lazy" to put up each step in building it, but if you have any questions about building it, i will do my best to answer them for you as thoroughly as possible.

good luck with your cab bruv.:H

    and Think,

these strains are all new to me, but from what ive heard from others, they are all high in terpinoids giving them a citrus-like fruity scent which is easily covered up with nag champa.

if i have any odor problems, its nothing the good old carbon filter wont help.

    Hey nice job!

I have a closet i grow mine in- it is a couple feet off the floor (trailer closet) andjust about the same size as yours. Too friggin cool for school. i been piecing it together a little at a time. I had a mishap and lost a wave of nlxkush and humbolt couple weeks ago. So i recently spent my last $ 250 on earth to complete the ventilation system. I had to get four custom transitions for my bargain german made fans from e-bay. $125.00 for transitions.
Yesterday i finally got around to the expanding foam detail- sealed all my light and air leaks between my cabinets- my ventilation covers both my veg and budrooms (2x4 bud and 2x2 veg.L.o.L.)

I think it's time to look foir a job-My closet is finally complete- now just water and ferts. I had some clones cut for the next wave- so i just stuck em in and switched the timer to 18/6 for a week. Now they are about a foot tall- so i got em on 12/12 again. Speedy recovery due to having my ducks in a row.

It is both tricky (mostly because of lack of funds) and interesting to build your own cabinet or system. Very rewarding, and ive not harved any mature buds yet. Looks like 6 more weeks before that will happen.

A hot water heater casing with a 175-250 w HID light and an intake and outake fan makes an excellent small stealth grow box.

You get some serious side light reflection growing inside a tube.

how the hell would you vent that? and where would you put it to make it "stealth"?

i smoke 6-8 oz a month, 175-250 watts wont cut that in the slightest.

lol water heater, thats a first.

Very nice cab my friend. Your room doesn't look at all messy in my eyes. Seems you are a bit of a perfectionist!!!

And that should show in your results. I would suggest others follow suit and not concern themselves with the initial cost outlay. It will pay for itself time and time again.

    Good luck :)

Intake fan on the bottom, output on top.

"Stealth"? IT'S A FUCKING HOT WATER HEATER! put in the garage.

So a bigger tank holds a bigger light.

actually, the whole "stealth cabinet" thing is old news. The hot water tank was a true innovation, because it doesn't look like a grow box- which "stealth closets" do. That's Thier achilles heel. You have to hide them.

Yer your sheet is on your bed and you can see a patch of floor, that qualifies for a house inspection by my standards...

thats pretty cool, still too big if i wanted to keep it stealth, if i ever have a proper house, ill make sure to get one with a huge basement and attic.

but anyway why dont your band members smoke the ganj? musicians embrace it!
