I caught the buzz of the city today. The sound of life thriving in an environment so unnatural It could be called beautiful in its own way. Like the artists, their ideals and the earthly possessions that they sell although they are so far from the ground. so far from the pavement and the brick walk ways I guess noone is really down to earth these days. But we can all get by with a smile and laughter a joke we poke at ourselves as we trip over our words and the hills that man couldnt quite flatten. Another imperfection... that nobody pays attention to. And when we pass that green organic a beautiful lawn full of life in a city so mechanical something sparks inside of us fireworks that light up our eyes and shine through our souls the way the sun brightens the sky and reveals the beauty that is so hard to see in the darkness. We are all so colorful under the right kind of light everybody stumbles, everybody falls the difference between the lowest of life and the tall is only: who gets back up.
Yeah, this is great. I liked the part about catching sight of a lawn and the feelings welling up inside, and of course the last stanza. Good stuff
An excellent piece of work! I agree with Trippin completely, the part about the lawn is the image that sticks the most, and the ending wraps things up perfectly... enjoyed this much, thx!
That's cool. It's a good sentiment, I think. The poem reads well too. I'm not always sure about that sort of broken-line structure, but in this case, I think it works.
