    I agree :)

My brother's like that too. He never suppourts vegetarianism out right but happily eats anything I cook him (and I haven't cooked meat for over a year)

You'd be surprised. I've seen some meat eaters pick the lettuce leaves out of their burgers before now. Not to mention all the 'I don't like vegetarian food' comments I've heard, which seem to imply that any meal without meat is somehow no longer food.

Those types of people piss me off. I mean... what the fuck. I go to eat a boca burger or something (I hardly eat them anymore because of this reason and I still have a couple boxes in the freezer from a few months ago) and I think it's real meat... it scares the shit out of me...

Even if you don't elimate meat from your diet completely, eating less is helpful.

no really, helpful to what, I'm interested in this now! I'm sure this must have been talked about loads on this forum but I would like to know what DIETARY improvements there are in being a veggie. I'm fully aware that everyone has their own reasons for being a veggie and I'm not having a go, I'm just interested in the possible dietary advantages...

Yeah really? I hear its a lot healthier but you guys are some scrawny people man. I got talked into going to a vegan joint where they play music. My god I thought I was in a room filled with heroin addicts. No one moved... And its not healthier if you have to include excercise to stay regular ie, you eat meat and dont excercise but you have to exercise if you dont eat meat to get to the same level...

Well I was skinny before hand (fab genes, cheers Goddess) so it makes nowt diffrence.
As for skinny vegans.... ever seen the blimps (for want of a better metaphore) stuffing down junk food? any idiot can be unhealthy, veggie or otherwise.

But seriously, there are numerous health advantages of being veg*an...

Reducing the risk of heart attacks by 50 % and cancer by 40% along with high cholesterol, diabeties, obesity
Spending 22 % less time in hosptial
    Living 6-10 years longer
No chance of any meat related food poisoning. 325,000 people a year in the US die as a result of eating contaminatent sea food.
Limited consumption of hormones, anti biotics, pesticides and other 'goodies' lurking in animal products.
Isn't it funny how almost all health scares (e.g mad cow disease) are related to meat. Of course if you don't eat them then there's no need to worry.

All stats are averages, can't remember where they are from.

I have no idea what the hell the excersize thing is all about. You lost me there.

Didnt you say obesity has nothing to do with vegan or not? Also you may reduce it by a coin flip. You still have a large chance of getting a heart attack. I smoke cigs so Cancer really doesn't scare me as I'm expecting it around 45ish.
...in general? Thank god the vegans avoid physical damage eh?
Those years suck, your shitting in a bag, and you cant get it up anymore... I REALLY wanna live through that
325k out of how many americans? Also if you cook your own meat....
Got me there... Aparentlly those burgers I make are just riddled with shit thats killed me eleventeen times over ;)
Don't listen to the media... They're usually full of shit. I didn't listen to the West Nile, I was fine, at beef right through Mad cow, I'm living... Anyone remember El Fuckin Nino?

I get it from the insane lack of energy vegans have. I have yet to see a springy vegan. You guys are like... stationary...
