I'm disgusted that this show actually exists, and that people actually watch it. The show's episodes are unrealistic materialistic parades celebrating a trivial event, a wealthy parents' teenager's 16th birthday. The first (and only) time I caught a glimpse of this show I thought that the show was about a party for a girl who got married, graduated high school, cured cancer, won the lottery, and won the NCAA women's (insert sport) championship all at the same time. But of course, it was just an extravagant party for a girl's 16th birthday who just so happened to have wealthy parents who never attend these parties. The attitudes of these teenagers are just so nasty and despicable. "You ruined my party!" "I wanted a pink helicopter!" "This horse carridge is bumpy!" "This is the greatest moment of my life!" "I love shopping for shiney stuff" That's just what parents need, a spoiled-rotten adolescent whose character is defined by the shit they buy. What a country.

The goal of crap like that show must be to make us girls feel jealous that the privileged ones get so much cool stuff for their birthdays, and want our own cool parties, therefore spending more money, becoming more materialistic, and profitting more businesses. I hope to god that that isn't what happens!

iv watched this show once and a half, its dispicable. I mean those kids are the brattiest, most spoiled little fuckers I have ever seen. How can parents stand having kids like that. Im not saying im perfect or anything but damn...

The timeslot of this show could have been used to show, oh, I don't know, music videos, instead of just showing us these egomaniacal, materialistic, shallow, revoltingly vain kids who get the world handed to them on a platinum platter...while demanding more...and more...and more...and more until their egos finally swell up and explode, until there's nothing left of their truly miserable lives but their worldly possessions. When they get older they may finally realize they contributed absolutely nothing to humanity and lived a meaningless life full of nasty attitude, ignorance, and greed. That, my fellow hipforumers, is the life of a horribly spoiled-rotten child. As we speak, another hopeless waste of human life is having their super...sweet...16.

Even if you, as a parent, are rich, why the fuck would you raise your child like that? By giving them expensive stuff?
These teenagers are too spoiled, shallow and materialistic. It's unacceptable!

The "The more I nag, the more I get"-quote is the best quote to hear when you feel like puking.

as much as i hate this show...it doesnt suprise me why they show it...there are a thosand other "reality tv" shows that display bitchy annoying spoiled teens getting spoiled by their wealthy parents, and the bitchy annoying spoiled teens who watch and enjoy this show think "wow, i have to have that..MOM I WANT KANYE WEST AT MY SWEET SIXTEEN!!" so basically....a strong percent of america has been drawn in to these pointless, annoying, materialistic "reality tv" shows and unfortunatly there isnt much you or i can do about it. tv has gone down the shit hole.

I happened to catch one of them where a couple kids at the party were like "I hope she doesn't think we are gonna be friends with her after this... no one is gonna talk to her" I found that to be humorous. But yeah it is ridiculous. Whine and cry until mommy and daddy give them EXACTLY what they want... *Blech*

I kind of like this show, though I've always figured the point of the show was to make you realize how horribly spoiled all of the bratty little girls are. It's one of those shows you watch just so you can yell at your TV. :D

What did I do as soon as I got to this thread?

I went to see if 'my super sweet 16 was on.' It was.So I'm watching it.

    The actual party.

    Eww.

She got a shiny, silver BMW. Her dad had two bodyguards follow her around the party to make sure no guys got to close to her.
She was brought in with a snake, and put on a throne.

'My parents spent so much money on my party, and I'm worth every penny of it'
    *pain*
At least she didn't throw any tantrums.

Sadly the parents can't see what they are doing to these kids. Why would parents want to raise a child that has so low self esteem that all they can think of is $$$ and material objects. How will any man ever compete with what the parents have given these girls. Life will smack them up side the head some day, hopefully they will learn from it.
