I know what you mean. I've been there. It's weird how one second you are a normal citizen and the next second your sanity is being questioned, you're locked up and drugs are being forced on you. The whole system is really messed up and needs a lot of reform, but the victims can't really put anything together because once they are out they are so happy to be out they don't want to think about it again.
probably part of the reason why when i'm feeling shitty.. i refuse to speak to a professional.. fear of being drugged or worse
In the state of Indiana it's fairly easy to get somebody, usually a family member, committed. Self harm is a pretty broad spectrum, and has no set definition.
yeah, well, i've known a couple of people that needed to be institutionalized, but never were because of legalities. poor kids.
