Our first quote from the Koran. The book is called Al-Ma"idah (The Table Spread) 5:51 It read: O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are friends and protectors to each other. Before I continue let me state as before, that the Koran, as stated by Muhammed, come from God, and is considered Holy. Therefore every thing that is written in it is suppose to be followed by all Muslims or it is not a Holy book. Here we read clearly that it is impossible for believers of this book to be friends with not only Christians, but to any American or people in any part of the world. If they claim they are our friends, then they go against the Koran because they find fault in it. According to the Koran, it does not matter whether they are the best of friends to Americans, they can never be our friends. If they do, then they will be going against the Koran, and thereby disbelieving in it, and not trusting what Muhammed and his god said to do. Some will say, some of the Koran is told to Muhammed by God and some is Muhammed sayings. It does not make a different. If it is the Koran, then those who believe in it must follow it. Christian must follow every word of the New Testament or we are not followers of it. And there is nothing written in it that we cannot follow to the letter. In order for Muslims to truly be friends of fellow Americans they must first give up being Muslims. Other wise they are forever a threat to all Americans. Sorry you have to hear it from me, but Jesus said in John 8:32, And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. So as long as the Muslims believe in the Koran, they must LIVE ACCORDING to what's in the Koran. The Koran also state not to take us (American) for their protectors. Come on! All Muslims living in America are Americans. This really throw a monkey wrench in following the Koran. Again, all Islamics in America are living under the umbrella of the Christians. We are their protectors. They eat our food, drive our cars, live in our houses, spend our money, wear our perfumes, work on our jobs, go to our doctors, train in our hospitals and universities, buy our goods here and overseas, ride our planes, buy our planes, and don't forget, they spend our money, etc. What about this,-- we protected Kuwait from Iraq. Christian did this for them. We even fought Serbia, a Christian country, to protect Kosova, a Muslim territory. If we hated Muslims so, then why would we risk the lives of Americans to protect them. We do not hate our Muslims friends, but want to love them, And show them the true way toward salvation. New Testament Saying: In the New Testament Jesus tell us in Matthews 22:37: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38: This is the first and great commandment. 39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Jesus stressed that we, the Christians, should love every one. Not just other Christians, but every one. Unlike the Koran, we are not told to hate. Again in Roman 5:5 it reads: And hope maket not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Once more you see that followers of Jesus must love everybody. We must pass our love on to others. Mark 16:15, And he (Jesus) said into them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
THAT'S RIGHT! THAT'S RIGHT! POLARIZE THE WORLD A LITTLE MORE! 'CUZ THERE JUST ISN'T ENOUGH HATE TO GO AROUND! Idiot.
Hey, if I walked up to a woman on the street, and said "you must love me or you'll suffer forever" what would she do? She'd run like hell. You can't COMMAND love.
He's the one who polarized it? Here I thought he was just quoting a polarization from the new hottest holy book since the Bible.
"jesus" instead of cutting & pasting from anti-islam sites, why dont you think about this for a moment? here's another statement: the verse is enjoined for enemies of islam. you can have sympathy & compassion for them, but you shouldnt be friends with them. what do you make of what jesus says here? Luke 12:49 “I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed! 51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division(3). Matthew 10:34“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.' 37 “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38 and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39 Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 40 “He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me. 41 Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” Mark 9:38“Teacher,” said John, “we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” 39 “Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, 40 for whoever is not against us is for us. 41 I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward. 42 “And if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around his neck. 43 If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. 45 And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. 47 And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, 48 where “‘their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ 49 Everyone will be salted with fire. 50 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” Im sure fedupamerican has some more.
I find him interesting too (sometimes...other times the posts really are too long), but I don't see why you'd like him and not JD4U/Campbell. They both are just defending their holy book, in basically the same way. The only reason I can see, which somewhat applies to me, is that his argument and/or information is new to me, since I have very little experience discussing/debating with Muslims.
My point was that there is hate everywhere. And there are things that other people find objectionable about my personal beliefs just as there are things that I may object to in Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Wicca, etc., etc.... I don't need a billboard to remind me of these things any more than anyone else. Stop stirring the coals. How about a tad bit more love for the fellow human and a little less divisiveness??
That's a good point, yourself, Fed. While Cat (and Islam in general) have the idea of hell as well, he doesn't really use it to try and convince you. Rarely even mentions it, actually. Maybe he figures his holy book/argument stand well enough on their own such that he doesn't need to scare us into agreement. Actually makes me, the would-be-converted, feel a bit more respected, like I'm being treated like an adult.
Sugar coatting everything doesn't get people's attention. And if it does, it will only be for a short period of time. Say you were in a house that was on fire... I could say "Hey your house looks fine" OR I could say, "FIRE, get heck out!"
Im going to have to say that this thread by Jesusdied4u is pointless. Koran or Bible both are biased. Christians definately do not follow their book word for word, and do not expect any human being to do the same either.
Again if everyone would read my posts it's all about length of response. I thought I made that pretty clear. Philosophy has little to do with it. The fact that it feels like I'm reading war and peace does.
BTW I don't have anything personally against Cat Stevens. I'm sure he's a good guy who's debating his beliefs.
