"Tears" Great song but mine would probably have to be "across the universe" and i cant even tell you why.
Actually, a whole album is to credit for my ultimate transformation into what I essentially still am today: "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd Although I have to admit, "Tears in Heaven" by Clapton is pretty moving...
Maybe I can't say there's one song that's been the most influentual, but a lot of the stuff by Rage Against the Machine is just mind-blowing, and thought-provoking.
anything rage...it inspires me to rise up against the man....hehehe...but they do have alot of powerful messages in their songs when u sit back and listen to them....so i gotta go with them.....and a static x song....Loser...i can listen to it and it inspires me to try my damndest at what ever it is im wantin to do....i just try to relate personal experience to the song and then reflect it in what i want....but im weird like that...
i have four really influential songs: peace train by cat stevens give peace a chance by john lennon (listening to it right now actually) like a rolling stone by bob dylan blowin in the wind by bob dylan
Now that I think of it Like a Rolling Stone was a very influential song for me especially the jimi hendrix version.
Miss You-The Rolling Stones This song was influential to me because they did something a little different, they added a danceable beat to thier blues rock, and it worked well.
hmm...influential...hmm Imagine by Lennon mainly. And most recently, So Far Away, by Staind. Yes, I know they're a very whiney band, but this song says exactly how I've felt in the past couple of years so nicely. It's really powerful to me because of the change I've gone through and the great strides I've made in my health, happiness, and confidence in just 2 years. That's all I can think of at the mo'....but I know there are so many more. ETA: Parabola by Tool and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass truly helped jump start the change I mentioned up there. They both helped pull me out of an almost fatal funk after an incredibly awful breakup. All Things Must Pass came on the radio at the very moment I was in the shower about to off myself and I just did an imediate turn around at that very moment. I can't believe I almost forgot about these songs.
"hold me thrill me kiss me kill me " - U2 i heard it when was 12 and fell instantly in love with this genius of a band. influental because i still love U2 & its been almost 10 years now.
* Candle in the Wind by Elton John * Imagine by John Lennon * There You'll Be by Faith Hill (I think I'm the only one who likes this song...:H)
