Ya soon i need to get new clothes for school etc. just want to know where yall get ur clothes. I know alot of people make them etc. I just get tired of not finding stuff i like. Im into the old look like the 70's etc. just need some suggestions. im growing up . got out of that goth stage haha peace chickens
i havn't been able to find a store to buy hippy clothes, i don't know about where you live though. i feel you may just have to buy stuff you kinda like and add your own touch, like with jeans, rip off the butt pockets and sew make pockets out of a rockin hankie or something. i made a shirt that i love. i bought a wrap skirt from the mall and made it into a shirt with just a few little stitches around the armpits. i love it!!!!
I buy alot of things from thrift stores or on ebay. Ebay has so much and you can find almost anything you want....lots of handmade stuff too. Also I do hit up those discount stores like Marshalls and last time I got a cool pair of jeans that were origionally $50 for like $15.
i would definitely check out ebay. you can get tons of second hand stuff for quite cheap and a lot of people sell handmade clothes on there, so you can find something completely unique and perfect for you! also, check out the handcrafter's co-op. http://hometown.aol.com/akawednesday/links.html this site has a list of websites of people who make and sell clothes and other handcrafted stuff. it also has a list of their ebay auctions. very cool! check it out.
I go to the Salvation Army thift store and the Bead Goes On. If you find something at a thrift store that you like but doens't fit, you can easily alter it or add patches pins whatever you wantI pay $5 for a pair or jeans or a shirt, $3 for a shirt, it kicks ass
Almost all of my clothes come from thrift stores. In the last few years, my mom has gone insane over going out and searching for cheap useless crap (as evidenced by a garage full of old furniture that she claims she is going to fix up), and very often she comes home with some great stuff for me--lots of skirts and scarves, especially.
Try Goodwill and Second Hand Shops!Another good opportunity are festivals and hippie markets. What about asking your parents?
