Ignorance is bliss

Is ignorance really bliss?
I dont know if I would rather be ignorant and happy
or
informed and miserable......

 

i'd rather be knowlegdable and indifferent

 

but why?
that's where I'm not quite sure on what.....

 

read some Mill. He talks about it better than anybody here will.

he was a utilitarian... greatest happiness principle.

 

utalitariansim seems all very well, but theres some major flaws in it


take this situation.


1 man is in hospital to get his appendix removed, he is in no danger. He's unemplyed, lazy, and generally a bit of an arse.


There are 3 geniuses that are dying in the same hospital, who all need various organs. Acting in a utalitarian way, you should kill the first man top put his organs in the other three.

Or else i think that it wouldn't be that useful and efficient
