While fooling around on the guitar I found the notes to this familiar tune but I can't remember what it is.

    Here's the tab:
    e-----3--0-----------0--3--0-----------0--3--0--3--5--0--5--3
    a-----------3--1--3-----------3--1--3-------------------------
    d--------------------------------------------------------------
    g--------------------------------------------------------------
    b-----3--------3--------3--------3--------3--------0---------3
    E--------------------------------------------------------------
    (repeat)

    Does anyone know this?

Yeah I definitly think it's pretty old. Like from the "Greensleaves" era. Not 100% sure though...

It's old (although not as old as Greensleeves).... it's a tiny section of Spring by Vivaldi (from the Four Seasons)

Yep, and I think the key's been changed, too. As far as I know, the original piece is in the key of E.

Uhhh... Actually, I could be totally wrong. Feel free to correct me.

Yeah, my CD (for orchestra, not a guitar solo) is recorded in E

    Thanks for the compliment. :)

    Might've been a fluke, however. :p

Yeah, I played the tab and recognized it immediately, then it clashed a little with the orchestra version that began playing in my head.

Lovely piece though, this one...

yes!!!! that's from an old daffy duck episode and I always remembered it and loved it but didn't know what it was. I haven't heard it besides in my head in about 13 years... I don't know what could make me happier right now.
