I missed the whole thing. What was the winning song like? I heard it was a rock band from finland that would frighten children - on that basis it sounds like it might be ok!
I can't believe you missed Lordi!! Hah, it was so brilliant. You can watch the video here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2006/contestants/ The song's called Hard Rock Hallelujah, and Lordi are a bunch of guys who dress up as monsters (kinda like Slipknot but not). Okay, they're not exactly good but it was still so awesome to see them in the eurovision song contest! And yes, I'm too excited but that's coz I'm from Finland and we have never ever EVER come even close to winning, most years we haven't even been allowed to enter the contest coz we've sucked so much. So yaaaay, this is great. Lithuania was pretty damn cool too, you should watch their video as well!
hurrah for Lordi! the other songs were jsut the bog standard cheesyness. Lithuania's entry..if i was Lithuanian I would be incredibly embarassed. UK one, well, it was better than not last year's but the year before's, Gemini. That was just frankly terrible. At least we came 19th this year. i just hope everyone copies finland next year, gone would be the cheesy pop songs and ballads..and in its place, ROCK MUSIC!
