uploading music from ipod to computer?

is it possible to transfer music onto a computer from an ipod shuffle?
they seem to discourage this in the manual, but would it work?

 

Oh yeah, it works. If you have a Mac, grab a little program called "Senuti." If you're running Windows, I'm sure there is a similar program. It's totally easy to do, but iTunes just won't allow you. It really has nothing to do with the iPod itself, but rather what program you're using on your computer.

 

wicked.. any idea what the program for windows would be?
