http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1528281/20060410/index.jhtml?headlines=true Just demonstrates the will of the religious right to stamp down their morals on everyone they can
It's a private religious school, they have every right, just like the all gay school that opened in NYC I'd say has every right to kick out someone who's not gay.
what you have the right to do and what is morally justified are two different things entirely. Education should be open to all...
These schools shouldn't be spying on people on the internet either. I wish I wouldn't of used my real name on myspace. I was at one of those extreme wacko conservative collages last month and it sucked chode big time. Everytime someone goes somewhere, they have to tell the people where they're going even. And I couldn't get on anything on the computers. I'm sure they would have done the same thing if a homosexual was there.
Education is open to all, its called public universities, if this school decides to choose what is right and what isn't, that is their choice, if this had happened at a public university, then it would have been wrong.
It's a private religious school, they have every right, just like the all gay school that opened in NYC I'd say has every right to kick out someone who's not gay. I have to agree on this one. Also, since most hospitals (I belive every hospital in my home city) are, by law, religious organizations, they should also have the right to refuse to treat Hindus, Jews, queers, Muslims, Pagans, Injuns, drug users who overdose, or anyone else who doesn't accept Jesus as their personal lawd en savyah and do the whole communion ritual cannibalism/vampirism thing. Unless, of course, they or even one of their employees has ever received so much as one thin dime of funding or has received any indirect benefit from any governmental program or undertaking at any level or of any type.
Education is open to all. Government funded education. Private education can do as they please. And labelling this is a "religious" act is really quite pathetic, it's merely using religion as an excuse to exercise there own prejudice.
You know there was a school in Mississippi which used to ban interracial relationships....they're now allowed with parental permission. Why does this only happen in America I ask myself...
There are plenty of countries where you can be killed for interracial relationships or for being in a relationship with someone of another religion. America has it's horrible parts, but there are many places that are worse. So, this doesn't only happen in America.
Are you serious? You really think that hospitals, even without gov't funding, shouldn't have to treat someone who isn't a christian. That's disgusting.

Yeah, and recall that I said that they have to prove their Christian faith by doing the communion thing, complete with the ritual cannibalism and vampirism. That whole "eating the body of Christ" and "drinking his blood" for "eternal life" is just So Kewl. Seriously, though, if Jesus really did teach his "followers" the ritual of communion, it seems apparent to me that he was mocking them. They didn't get it.
I'd second that I mean all that cannibalism like "eat this - its my body" Jesus was smugly takin the rise out of everyone - what sort of a c*nt claims to be god and tells everyone to eat him?
No, dude you're gettting it all wrong. It's symbolic, not actual body. We're to do it in rememberance.
Oh my god I almost fell off of my chair at work. Don't make me laugh like that! Its too much for me. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. It is a Christian school and at least in the ones I know of around here you have to sign an agreement at the beginning of every year that states you will abide by thier Christian principles, then it usually lists some ridiculous requests, and most people sign it without thinking it through. Course this was high school that I am familiar with, after that I gave up the whole organized religion thing. I got kicked out of a Christian high school for trying a cigarette. But they stated something like I don't share the same values of the school and of god. Of course everyone who stayed at that school ended up knocked up or with a coke addiction, none that I know of went on to finish college, but that is neither here nor there. The point is, that school does have the right to kick the student out if they feel he isn't being a "good Christian" or setting some sort of Christ like example. I'm not saying that thier idea of "a good Christian" actually goes along with the Bible, etc. And I have no idea if Jesus liked gays or not, nor do I care because I don't follow this Jesus dude. The kid needs to suck it up and go to a public university or at least a Christian school that tolerates gay people. This has to do with their religion, and if in their religion it says you can't be gay, well, then I guess you can't. They make up all of their own rules as they go along, and if they don't like something all of a sudden it is a sin. Pick a different religion, or be straight, those are your options. (I hope you all realize that last part was tongue in cheek).
So when christ kicked out the gay person - in what story from the bible was that? I mean there is an example of christ chucking a gay person out of his flock - right? I mean I am oblivious to this line you are taking - in fact I know almost nothing of the bible - can you show me an example from the bible where christ kicked out the raving faggot from his congregation?
My cousin goes to a christian academy here in my town and people get kicked out left and right for not living by the christian principles and what not. Theyhave kicked kids out because one kid saw another in public smoking and then told the princple...and the kid got expelled. It's pretty ridiculous, but it's there school. Communion isn't cannibalism either...that's just stupid.
