I think there's a thread on them somewhere already, but aside from that, Dresden Dolls are fantastic.
I enjoy them. =) I actually heard of them after I read 'Flowers In The Attic' and it made me listen to them. lol
I just got their new CD, "Yes, Virginia," and I absolutely love it. I love their old CD too, but this one is quite excellent.
yes I like the dresden dolls, they are different than most things out there today. quite unique. Im going to move this to the alternative music forum.
The only satisfaction I have gotten out of myspace is being able to listen to their new CD on it. As soon as I have money again I will definitely buy it.
The Dresden dolls are really good both live and on record. The new one is great too bad there isn't a new Girl anachronism on it, but over all I think it's even better than the first album.
I definitely don't think so. I like the new album, but every song on their debut has catchy, memorable hooks. I can only remember a couple from Yes, Virginia... She sounds like she's been taking vocal lessons, her voice is a lot more clear, and she can hold a note now (I liked her voice either way.) But, man, they're a lot better live. The drummer's so much better, he doesn't need to hold back like he does on the studio albums. And Amanda just beats the crap out of her keyboards and you think at any moment she's gonna fall off her chair
I can remember the songs of the first album better because I heard them more often. The new album has really good songs, I think they have shown a great growth.
Nah, the first album was just more catchy, I think. They kinda put less emphasize on structure on the new album. They did grow, but I kinda liked Amanda's voice more rough and her piano more erratic and spastic
I'm a huge Dresden Dolls fan. I love all their CDs (and their DVD as well). My favorite song by them is probably Girl Anachronism (*points to screen name*) and Pierre is pretty cute too.
