hey guys Im starting a veggie oil conversion (wvo)
ok here are my plans as they are now,
Ive been doing tons of reaserch and what I have found is the companies out there sell alot of nifty gadgets in there kits but most of it is over kill.
and then there kits are way to expensive or if there not they dont include a tank, ...ect

    so
    Ive come up with this

I start my veg train with an intioal filter tank, 55 gallon drum in the rear drivers side of my interantional bus 6.9 liter.

on top of the barrel is a funnel and a bucket seperated by a metel screen not unlike the consistancy you would find in a funnel from a fuel can.

under nieth this barrel I have drilled a hole under the bus. from the 55 gaLLON DRUM A LINE IS THEN PASSWED THREW THE FLOOR OF THE BUS CONNECTED TO A SOCK FILTER AND BRACKET (sorry caps) the wvo is gravity fed threw the sock ( havnt yet decided what micron filter Id need any suggestions?
the from tehre the line then goes to the top rear of my veg tank ( a furl tank from a 92 ford bus, 48 us gallons tank, this is also mounted on teh drivers side on the other side is my diesel tank, the veg tank is heated by the engines coolant using a U shaped metal pip, (two pipes connected to a c fitting) what do you suggest is the best metal to tranfer heat? copper or alluminum? on one end is the in line coming from the engine, the other is teh return heading back to the engine,

ill have to drill the proper sice and use metal gaskets , or something not unlike a pipe and flange brace with the pipes either seperate or in one housing,
on teh top of the tank aside the level meter and wiring harness I will need to install a temp guage so I can check the temp before switching tanks,

the coolant lines both of them leaving the tank are then wrapped along the fuel line leaving teh tank, up to two diesel filters and brackets (ill slvage them from a scraped diesel engine) as far as I know they are 5 micron filters.

I will wrap both filters with the coolant lines crating aheat jacket , both the coolant lines heat filter jacket and fuel line will be insulated with foam and thermal blankets, from the filters the fuel line stil coupled with the coolant lines will head toward the befroe though they wil go threw a T valve the top whioch I will screw in another temp propbe so I can know the temp along the line before we get to the injector relay, from that temp guage, we continue to the either manual or electric selenoid contralling the feeds from either the diesel or the veg line, this I wil purchase from either grease car , plantdrive or fry brid, any suggestions on which has the best selenoid so as not to leak veg oil into the diesel tank? from there I will install the last temp guage so I know what the heat is before it injects,
I may need to heat this portion, I may use a vegtherm line heater provided by plant drive, I think its electric I can run off DC current, or if I must Ill run it from the inverter, OR maybe run the coolant lines wrapped on this portion as well...
from there it goes trhrew the pump and injector realya to the injectors, and I have a running conversion

K this is now my blue print for my conversion,
does any one see any possible flaws to this system, if so what? amd what do you suggest to better this, keep in mind finances are EXTREMELY low

    peace

Why not just get something more efficient than a fucking bus?

    hahah
ok I like that question...Ill answer you then you see if its the most efficent.

I live in me bus with about 8 other people, we travel around the world and sell hemp jewlery to fund our lives ie food clothes entertainment,
our power is solar , our fuel is waste vegetable oil which by the way is the purpose of this post.

so as for efficency, my bus is my employment, my home my community, and it is less harmfull to the environment than a mini cooper.

for all the wars that are wAged over oil, I have never heard of one shooting for the cause of vegetable grease.

so my friend, how efficient is your automobile??????

Ok, that does change it. My car gets i dont know, around 30 mpg. And depending how long it takes to get the oil warmed up, it may not be as efficient as you think.

yeah thats always the issue, heating the oil.
I have thought of an electrical element, but i would have to have a thermostat and some sort of automatic pressure release valve.
the boil point is 230 degrees , so If I heated to that I would get the best miliage as well as eliminate any residue water in the system...but thats for a later date.
    PEACE!!!
