Due to the explosive growth in the amount of THC in the Dutch weed, known in the Netherlands as Nederwiet, there are again several groups protesting loudly for making this kind of drug a hard drug and thus banning it. These groups say, that due to the higher amount of THC people will get addicted sooner and because of this higher amount there are now 14 and 15 year olds in rehab. The amount of people in rehab, and those who have looked to get help, have grown and this should come from the THC increase. The amount of people who smoke weed has stayed the same. The amount of THC was 10% in 1999 and it is 17.5% at this moment Our Health departement of the goverment have done a test and it shows no real hazards to health. So at this point there will be no illegalisation of weed. But the groups say that this test was not done proparly. The main problem with this is, that if these groups get a more vocal voice under the people there will be a possibility of illegalisation, because at least two of our ruling political parties are against our own drug culture. Just thought that that would be something that would interest some of you
i dont having anythign with any substance to say about the subject, because i'm not eving passingly familiar with the dutch government, but i can say that would suck so bad. amsterdam is such an iconic city in cannabis smoking culture, it would really just suck if we lost that.
Well I'll just say that one of theses iconic parties will be out of the goverment in the next goverment. Hell, we even have the possibility of having a complete left goverment. It probably won't happen, the banning, and if it would, this would only be for the high powered weed.
Hold on there. THC most certanly be mentally addicting. But to be fair.. theoreticly anything can become addicting - but thats why people must learn self control.
yea... i've been slowly reading this book called Pot Planet.. and it talks about how hard assed the dutch government actually is twords marijuana growers.. everyone thinks amsterdam and surrounding areas are so great.. but when in fact their government seems just as corrupt as any other government
