I don't know if this is common or whatever, but my vagina is sore (not the inside, but the outside, you know?). It started after my boyfriend and I had intercourse almost 3 weeks ago, and it hasn't gotten any better. We've had intercourse again but it doesn't hurt when we do. It especially hurts when I have to urinate. What gives?

I'm seven months pregnant and I thought some momma's could give advice about my problem? This has never happened to me before, so I thought my pregnancy would have something to do with it.

Might be a yeast infection, or another bacterial infection. Do you notice a fishy odor after sex?

What a waste of a comment. Monkey spit!

Back on course,You might have a bacterial or fungal infection. I would definately get it checked out! For now I would recommend diluting tea tree oil in jojoba and applying it to the outer area!

Well I'm sorry-didn't realize that you were pregnant. Perhaps mentioning that would have been more explanatory.

Is it your actual vagina that hurts, or your groin area in general?

i started getting alot of pain in my groin starting around the second trimester. It's from the ligaments and muscles stretching, also from the pubic bone separating. When i lift my legs (like trying to put on pants or socks) i get a shooting pain up my vagina or anus, and trying to roll over in bed is super painful. Not pleasant, but pretty normal.
Try practicing Kegals to help strengthen the pelvic floor. If you do a search for 'pelvic pain pregnancy' you can find alot of info and suggestions for dealing with/improving the pain.
    Good luck!

yeah, I bet it's the bones separating. I got lots of relief seeing my chiropractor, and also helped to sleep with two pillows between my legs, and leaning back against a wall. I had to have something behind my back when I slept or it would get so much worse. Sitting on a big inflatable ball during the day also made a world of difference. You don't have to spend big $$ on a birth ball, one of those huge inexpensive play balls works just as well, just inflate it to the right height for you to sit on it comfortably and not feel like you are going to fall off.
