The Paonia, Colorado is currently planning a holding camp, hopefully to be setting up in two to three days.(by Friday, May 26) When they are ready, directions will be released. This will be close to the Paonia 92 site.
much love, call if you have questions at 970-527-7598
Folks can come this way if coming from the east, stop in Paonia and call the above number or go to the white buffalo farm. Directions to the farm can be gotten by calling.

Folks coming from the west can head for paonia on Interstate70 to Grand junction area, find a place to camp and call the number above for instructions.

Pass it on...looking for good folks who know how to hold a calm scene, with kitchens, water, fire watch, shanti sena, kindness, love, scouting skills a plus, tools, food, etc. and bring hitch hikers to get them off the highways.

stay in touch, I or some one will let you know when we are set here.

I think you may have read more into it than is there. The White Buffalo Farm is NOT the holding camp...that I will post when she does...what is it then?? Holding camp until the holding camp? That's more like it I think.

It's a start. BobnBecca have a holding camp too.

I think the "this one is for real" on the title threw us off. I mean, the dinosaur holding camp is real, too. So is the one in Nederland and the one somewhere around Durango.

I like having one big gathering but holding camps there should be many, IMO. Then the locals get informed, the impact is spread out, and the resources are larger. But come to dinosaur if you want warm weather! hee hee

Yeah, the posting on AGR is accurate. I've been up to visit the kids at the Ned holding camp three times over the last two weeks. It's a bunch of street kids (maybe 20 or so) who hitchhike into Boulder and spange Pearl st until they have their whiskey money. Then they go to the woods, get drunk and fight. This holding camp is probably not a place for greenhorns. Three people (that I know of) have gotten beat up at that holding camp and one person was stabbed last night. I went to the ER and visited him this afternnon. He took a stab wound in the neck, and close call but he's gonna be OK. I told him I would meet him tomorrow, after he is released form the hospital, and buy him lunch.

Could be him, He's an awesome guitar player and possibly in his early thirties. He's Apache and does have long black hair.

I wish Nederland weren't real and was Neverland now!. I hope they're not going to dinosaur, but probably not. Too far from a spanging town. At dinosaur, kids are working for their money. Well, some are spanging, but most are working and trading their skills for things. And there's some agro, but by and large happiness. I'll tell y'all 'bout it one day if'n ya wanna know.

What the hell is up with kids and knives these days?? From '89, when I first started playing in this crazy Rainbow movie, till last year, the total # of stabbings or cuttings I recall at gatherings is about two. Last year, about a half dozen at regionals in the East from March through seed camp, then about another 8 or so at the Gathering...fights, yeah, beatings, the occasional car-b-que, we might have had, but no idjits sticking people with knives...

Was it really that much less violent "back in the day", or am I suffering from some kind of "Golden Age" syndrome, or was I just not paying attention?

Howdy folks, Paonia phamily is hosting a holding camp outside of hotchkiss, Colo. Sorry for the delay getting it up as we had to wait till after memorial day to secure the site. The directions are as follows, from Delta Colo. (40 miles south of grand jct) follow hwy 92 east till appx. mm 17 1/2, there will be a t-intersection sign and a small national forest access- leroux creek sign pointing to the left. Turn left onto 3100rd, pavement ends in 4miles, go straight and follow main road for 8 miles to forest service gate (note road turns left a few times with private drives going straight, when in doubt bear left) after gate go 3 more miles and camp is on right. This a very smooth road and town and supplies are only a 1/2 hour away. Welcome home
Will post more tomorrow love & peace
